Unable to boot CFW , after updating via ChoiujourNX to 9.0.1 from 6.x.x (since I wanted to try newer games that require 9.x)

every thing worked fine, for some reason after updating (with fat32 - didnt know if its important to select exfat or fat32) and pressing REBOOT, it showed the NINTENDO SWTICH logo and than just black screen.

i'm able to boot into OFW by going into SX OS loader and from there choosing OFW, my firmware on the ORIGINAL is now 9.0.1 i suppose it did update my original firmware and not the CUSTOM ?
i will be gald to get some help with this, i new with SX OS just got it from a friend who came to visit from another country..

so, i am able to boot into OFW, what should i do next to fix the CFW or anything?

*if trying to format sdcard or switch it self it asks to update the firmware to thre newest one..

help //

Of course it's important, I hope you did a backup of CFW, if so restore it check if your microSD is in exFAT (it probably is, but just to be sure), and update the firmware again, if not you will most likely need to do a new emuNAND (if you had made it, to begin with), hope you have buckups of your game saves too, good luck.

Ok so firstly, thank you for answering !
now, no, i havent done any backup (how stupid of me) but i dont really care at this point becuaes i would like it to work anyway so yeah, ill make everything new, just, dont be mad... how do i make a NEW emunand? also, do i have to update my switch (OFW) to latest version (ONLINE METHOD) before going forward?

thank you again!

If you don't care then make a NAND Dump in SX OS options, NAND for safety and copy it with your OFW "Nintendo" folder, and any homebrew nsp, xci, patches etc. "sxos", "switch" folders, licence.dat and boot.dat, and save them on PC. Go to SX OS options check maybe your emuNAND was just disabled, if not go to options, EmuNAND, Delete EmuNAND, and after its done, Create EmuNAND, if you can't remove emuNAND like this then make full microSD format including the hidden partition on the card to exFAT, then copy back the things you saved on the PC (minus NAND dump for more space), and then try creating a new emuNAND
(I recomend the Hidden Partition on microSD method). Good luck.
PS. Use this to backup emuNAND:

Dat on it plus choidnujour and the 9.1 update falls now the custom firmware will work in the switch reinstall the update via choidnujour making sure to use exfat this time when done put original sd card in switch hopefully this helps

Is there any reason to ever not select the exFAT option in Choi? I'm assuming a FAT32 card is still recognised if the exFAT option is installed, can anyone confirm?

After days of reinstalling my backup over and over to get 9.1 and pass the switch logo , I was using a formatted sd but put same files from old one, bad idea :hateit: and now i found this :yaysp: thanks.
