Hi, guys I've been wondering, if I ever need to replace my Switch v.1 battery, will a battery for Switch v.2 work?
And why you may ask? Longer battery life of course:yayswitch:
Please, if someone knows tell me, thank you in advance.

I maybe wrong but I though the reasons the new switch had better battery performance was due to the newer chip-set rather that an increase in battery size?

from what I gather its the same battery, the extended battery life is just in the form of power savings made by the board, not any increased capacity of the battery

No. The newer switch has a similar battery. The battery improvements come from a die shrink in the chipset and not because of the battery increase.

Yes, this basically.

It is probably possible since both battery should be exactly the same. The thing is, the longer battery thing from v2 is actually because the v2 itself is more efficient at power draw, so putting battery from v2 to v1 will not make v1 have longer battery life.

You won’t get improved battery life, if anything you’ll lose a bit of battery life because Mariko’s battery is actually slightly smaller than the one used in Erista units, but you can, yeah.
