Hello, first time posting on the forum.
I've been browsing guides here for a few years and considered joining around the peak of 3DS hacking. Recently I decided to dabble back into retro consoles as I did in my early 20s, so I figured I would probably have better luck posting threads here if I run into any unique problems in the future. Anyway, looking forward to interacting with the users here. Thanks.

Current consoles:
Nintendo Switch
Xbox One
PS4
3DSXL (soft modded)
Analogue Super NT
Wii (soft modded)
Wii U
GBA AGS-001
DMG (hard modded)
Genesis Model 1
N64

Oh yeah? Do tell! I don't much about programming, just hardware things.

Cool I am trying to program a text RPG this will be my first game I ever programmed in C++ and I think I will make it a horror themed game called creeping terror. What type of hardware do you specialize in I am not very knowledgeable in hardware as I accidentally got a Chromebook for gaming and programming

I think horror as a text adventure is definitely the way to go. Imaginations can plug in the unsettling atmosphere, playing off the fears of the player instead of relying on cheap, scripted jumpscares. For hardware I used to mod and repair retro consoles. I've thought about getting back into it for my own needs when introducing a new system to my HD setup.

What sort of mods do you have for your DMG? Backlight? VGA output?
My DMG has the older backlight mod with a green LED, the bivert mod, a transparent black case from RoseColoredGaming, transparent orange buttons from some a generic eBay listing, and the prosound mod for stereo output when using headphones. It's a great system.
