Hi guys! At first, let me apologize for my English, i'll try to write it the best I can. (I'm Spanish)

I had TWiLight Menu++ installed following the guide from dsi.cfw.guide and it worked pretty well.
But I wanted to play Pokemon Black 2 (original game, no ROM) and didn't work (the screen goes white).

I uninstalled Unlaunch using the Uninstall option, because I wanted to recover my DSi to work like always before I modified it, and after it ended the uninstall, I powered down (from the option) the console, and when I tried to plug in it back again, it doesn't turn on the screens. The only thing that turns on is the blue light of power.

I did all steps perfectly, so ¿what happened? ¿how could I fix it?

Please help me, I'm a bit afraid. I just want to recover my DSi to normal mode.

Thank you all in advance.

This somehow reminds me of this case. Similar situation: Unlaunch installer ran seemingly normal and → Dead.
Okay, the older case was about an update, not an uninstallation… seems still similar enough to mention it.

Please try without any SD and game inserted.

Question:
Did you ever modify anything on NAND besides installing unlaunch? (If you did what is on dsi.cfw.guide and nothing else, the answer is "No")

=========
For the record: Uninstalling unlaunch in order to get a TWL cart (DSi enhanced) like Pokemon Black/White 1/2 started was unnecessary in the first place. Booting into "Launcher" (SysNAND or SDNAND) would have been sufficient to get the game started.

I tried without SD, with it, without game, with it... And I never touched anything from the NAND
Oh god, I just panicked a bit and wanted to recover my normal DSi and uninstalled it... Hope it could be fixed... I did step by step all that was written in the guides.

The installer warns you about the uninstallation of Unlaunch.

As soon as you uninstall Unlaunch it bricks your device and this is only recoverable if you have a NAND backup of your DSi's NAND and you flash it back via a Hardmod.

In other words you bricked your DSi with the uninstall of Unlaunch and without a NAND backup and a Hardmod its dead.

What the uninstaller means is, without homebrew, there's so much less you can do.
In other words you bricked your 3DS with the uninstall of Unlaunch and without a NAND backup and a Hardmod its dead.
You mean DSi?

Damn, didn't think doing all step by step and carefully could brick my console...
Anyway, I have the NAND file "FW0023CC7B8D90" from one of the first steps for the installation. I made a copy of that file and saved it in my computer because I read it was important.
I'll have to hardmod it then... ¿I only need a SD card lector and something to weld some pieces then?
Hope it works, thank you all

Yeah it is pretty easy to do if you had worked with circuit soldering, you just need to ensure that you are soldering the correct pinouts and have a lot of patience as it should be made correctly at the first try, otherwise you will end up frying or trashing your DSi even more.

Sure, thank you very much for the advice. I hope it works.

@MicuPadron When you installed Unlaunch, did you have DSiWare on the DSI? Because when you uninstall unlaunch, there's a slight chance that it could brick the system if you have DSi Ware
Here is a statement from the dsi guide FAQ:
" Keep in mind that this may result in an irrecoverable brick if you have installed any arbitrary DSiWare to your system NAND, or have otherwise messed with system files."

That warning is towards the people who used twlnf to install dsiwares outside the dsi shop (after all, everything on the dsi is a dsiware)

Yep, mine got bricked as well. Two possible reasons ? (if it helps the devs) :

- Instead of turning off and on, I just pushed quickly the button for a restart
- I had a game cardridge inside

I've just got the same problem as MicuPadron, I made exactly the same thing that he did (probably I modified the NAND, but I'm not sure, I just made with unlauncher that it boots at the startup the twilight menu, does that modified the NAND?), I uninstalled unlaunch with its own program, and BOOM, it got bricked. I've got a backup of the NAND just before I installed something, and probably I have to make a hardmode, but I couldn't find any tutorial on the internet, any help someone can bring to me :,c
(Btw @MicuPadron was your problem fixed?)

Not another one. This is getting on my nerves. (Not you of course, it's not your fault)

Does anybody know what is happening lately with the unlaunch (un)installer?!

"I just made with unlauncher that it boots at the startup the twilight menu"
No, this is not NAND modification beyond unlaunch itself. Real NAND modification means installing DSiWare with twlnf, modifying a NAND image on the computer with ninfs (followed by a restore with fwtool v1.6.1) or things like this. HiyaCFW and TWiLight Menu++ exist only on SD card.

DSi hardmod (missing pictures, use Wayback Machine to around 2016/2017):

Good luck!
