Any chance you could implement being able to navigate with holding down a button rather than per press (and it goes faster the longer you hold it), or is this a limitation to Tesla? Looking through the frames requires pressing down each time.

Maybe a few shortcut keys too, like pressing Y/X to jump between shiny frames if it finds multiple in a given amount of frames, and pressing left/right to jump a number of frames?

I don't even play Pokemon, I hate Sword and Shield, but this looks cool asf. Hope that we will be able to use it with Diamond & Pearl remakes (cuz it will exist)

Holding down a button for continuous scrolling would be part of libtesla. This might be a good feature for someone to PR. :)

Hmmm, maybe we can get a FPS monitor for all the games by this overlay, too?..

With Tesla allowing to switch between overlays, it gives a way to have a clean separation of concerns between overlays. CaptureSight is specific to viewing Pokemon data, and someone else could make an FPS monitor that runs alongside CaptureSight from the Tesla menu.

However CaptureSight itself won't include an FPS monitor since that's outside the scope of its goals.

what is the chances for this to get me banned from online ?

There's always a chance you'll get banned, so don't use this online if you're concerned about getting banned.

That said, many people use this online to check seeds for other people, and no one has reported getting banned from using it.

Very nice :)
Tesla is going to get big sooner or later when it comes to handy things we can use it with.

Thanks!

Yep, Tesla is a good solution for what it's trying to solve.

Uh its my first time really using this program and im wondering how do we recognise the correct den ids?

There are three ways:
1. RaidFinder has a interactive map that shows which id corresponds to each den - https://github.com/Admiral-Fish/RaidFinder/releases
2. Use the PKHeX raid plugin to see a list of dens in your save, the Id of each den, and other information about the den - https://github.com/Leanny/PKHeX_Raid_Plugin/releases
3. Use CaptureSight to look at the active den ids, then throw a wishing piece and check the active den ids again. The new id in the list is the id of the den with the wishing piece. (There are methods of using a wishing piece without the game saving, so you won't lose a wishing piece to do this.)

Great tool! absolute game changer! Works great with Luxray as well.

Here are things I hope are improved upon to make it more accessible:
- den ids
They almost match up with raidfinder, as you mentioned above, but the numbers are shifted down by one, because your app ignores the raid in the tower, whereas raidfinder's map includes that as the 17th, if im correct.
if possible matching the ids to pokefinder or including a png or something that connects the ids to the specific den locations would be best imo.
- include an all dens option in the tesla overlay
when i'm searching for natural den shinies, i have to use the CatureSight applet, which increases time.

Quick Q:
Is there a resource that explains the IV spread? How do I know how many perfect IVs a pokemon will have and how does that relate to frames?

Luxray's dev did mention in their to-do to have some sort of connectivity with CaptureSight, so that would be awesome to see later down the road.

Thanks for your feedback!

Den Ids will be fixed in the next release. You're correct about RaidFinder, the PKHeX Raid Plugin, and CaptureSight originally ignoring the event den. While the other two tools updated to include that den, CaptureSight hadn't until the past day or two.

I've been wondering if anyone would want to see all dens in the overlay - that can be added. :)

I'm not sure of any resources off the top of my head that explain the mechanics behind it, only how to abuse the mechanics. The number of perfect IVs is tied to the same mechanic governing species. Because of this, perfect IVs aren't tied to specific RNG frames and can't be predicted. However just like species, we can re-roll the number of perfect IVs on a shiny frame.

The applet's raid searcher screen allows showing upcoming spreads for each amount of flawless IVs. This is something the raid plugin currently lacks and should have added.

Luxray's dev and I talked, but seemed to have different visions for where we wanted the projects to go. With CaptureSight displaying info, Luxray being used to advance frames, and both working with tesla, the two projects seem to have a nice separation of concerns and are still easy to use together. I'm not sure what any other use of the two together would look like.

Again, thanks for the feedback - I appreciate it!

Has anyone else been experiencing a crash and error message when using the 4.0 overlay?

It doesn't seem to be happening all of the time, but I never had this problem with the earlier releases. When it does crash, it seems to only happen when pressing the B button to exit back to the overlay selection window or close the overlay itself.

I'm not entirely sure if this is an error in Tesla or CaptureSight, but I've updated to the latest version of Tesla as well and it's still crashing from time to time.
