Hey @KiiWii, I thought what leaked was the passcode to decrypt the pkg but aren't the binaries still encrypted meaning no backporting?
And I know the guy who made the spider-man and RDR2 model tools for ps4 FOR sure has a private kexploit in at least 6.0/6.2
because he was able to actually rip the games, which is what was confirmed by other devs over at psx-hax.
Don't know if the same thing was done for KH3 (if it was the same person or not) but for all the rest of you out there (not you kiiwii
) who think this game will be on 5.05 .... if the binaries are still encrypted a kexploit of 5.50 or higher will be needed for you all to play this! There is a difference from being able to decrypt a pkg with a passcode to get access to the files as opposed to decrypting the eboot and what not!thinking a "wave of games" are being or gonna be backported..........

iddeamon (I think his name was) was the guy using spidey files, but yeah without using a relevant firmware exploit we can’t decrypt/port them.
Afaik people are just now divulging pkg passcodes (using default ones for UE4/Unity etc), it won’t lead to much unfortunately, as even if assets are moddable the binaries aren’t.
I had an idea to replace the binaries with a generic eboot.bin “forwarder” if you will, and downgrade (read: swap out) the other available files with the 4.xx/5.05 SDK equivalents.

I suppose if Orbital or the other PS4 emulators get to THAT point and can fully emulate mnt/sandbox for >5.50 firmware, we could just cherry pick the loaded decrypted files out of it.

i actually think that is a good idea kiiwii see this is starting to get to that one point i remember in ps3 scene i forget i think the magic firmware then for awhile was 3.55 if i remember...lol memories of getting my ps3break from china boy those were the days. Anywho I hear that journey to the savage planet has been back ported? anyone else see proof? I have yet to find a file but about to use google fu
Could you imagine if by some miracle the same private vuln passes to launch model PS5.. I don't know if that's even technically possible, but just the thought of it alone is enough to make me patient about them releasing any kexploit now.

well it sorta exist thanks to them i am able to play moons of madness in english and save my game which both were not possible prior to that release but charging for fpkg is def lame. I question what you are saying cause i was never asked for $ heck the file didn't even come with a read me actually...
the translation was nothing more than taking a pkg of the pc version that is not encrypted and replaced and the save fix was someone else, they just took advantage of the work of another dev.

they could be waiting until the ps5 is released for future kexploits. the ps5 is being developed by the same lead developer, Mark Cerny, as the ps4 and the vita, so I expect similarities. on the vita, you need the zrif key to decrypt the pkg, then it does something to the work.bin.
