Hello all was looking for some help here.

So I’ve recently installed an upgraded emmc module into my switch and would like to have an emunand and a clean stock OS. Is it possible to modify my existing emunand in anyway to show the 256gb emmc storage or if I create a new one will the emunand require 256gb of space for a partition on the sd card? Any help on this would be gratefully appreciated because I’m stumped.

thanks guys in advance :)

Are you trying to use the same chip for emunand and sysnand? If so, no not exactly however there a device currently in development that will be able to do this uses multiple micro sd cards and a switch to effectively switch between nands aka sd cards

Hey there :)
No I’m leaving my sysnand on my 256gb emmc chip and have my emunand running off of the SD card like normal. However I was informed that if this upgrade is done any future nand dumps will be 256gb in size. Was wondering if this also applied to creating a new emunand. Was also just curious if there was anyway to display my 256gb of system memory on my existing emunand running from the sd as it was created before the upgrade and only displays the stock switch size of 32gb.

Why would you want to do this? If anything I would think you would want like an 8GB emummc.

Every GB of EMUNAND is used space on your SD.
