Looking for any half decent alternatives.Started a new game today after updating Atmosphere, found out after the first hour of intro that cheats were enabled (again) by default, because the system.ini was updated. I've disabled this in the past, and I still think it's moronic to have cheats enabled by default.

Personally I use a mix of Atmosphere / SXOS / Kosmos.
Keep in mind the console I am doing that with is already superbanned ... and well Im ok with that.
But as for why; well acces to all possibilities sums it up I guess.
And with some smart setups you can basically run them all without ever having to go back to RCM.

As for your situation; that is not vanilla behavior for sure. Not from any of the CFW available.
Cheats are something you normally have to enable yourself.
Like @pLaYeR^^ noted it might be due to what you downloaded.

You have probably downloaded Kosmos or sd setup stuff. I always go for vanilla atmosphere (download from GitHub). Then you don't have unnecessary stuff enabled.

You are correct, my mistake. I checked with a fresh download of Atmosphere and Kosmos and cheats are disabled by default there. When I first installed CFW I grabbed a large pack of stuff that I have never used; I think it's about time for a clean reinstall.
