So far we have six DLC fighters including the soon to be released Byleth. Another six are in development and will be released over the next two years. There will be a second fighter's pass available to purchase for the next six. If the second Fighters Pass sells well, and it probably will, will another round of DLC fighters and another Fighters Pass get announced in about two years?

I think it depends on whether they decide to develop a sequel or not, the second pass will be over around end-2021 so they might be wrapping up developing Ultimate further after that. But there's also a possibility that they'll want to delay a potential sequel as much as possible: they've already stated that Ultimate will probably be a tough act to follow with the content that it has, so they might intend to just keep on expanding their current game.

Anyone know when Byleth will be playable? It's currently 30 January at 10:48pm UTC+10, and I've been able to update my game to 7.0.0. I've owned the Fighter's Pass for a year now, so I've got Joker, Piranha Plant, Banjo, and the rest - except Byleth.

I've archived the game and redownloaded it - nothing. I've backed up my save with Checkpoint and deleted my save data - nothing.
Is it just not out yet, or something?
