I added an Adventure Island for NES in my previous compressed link, and it's the wrong one. I didn't double-check. The correct one exists as "Hudson's Adventure Island" in the @mastershoes collection. Sorry about that. This is confusing enough.
Anyway... I went through and actually couldn't find a cover for Frogger on the Genesis/Megadrive system. So here it is if anyone wants it.

Just checked, I have frogger in the pending update folder for genesis/md, along with a lot more. It's my most overwhelming pending update folder and hurts my brain when I open it lol.

Also, still working on those MAME covers, been short on time the last couple weeks, but they're coming.

Here are some more NES prototypes and unlicensed. 3 are missing backs. I put a little more effort into them so they should fit seamlessly into the @mastershoes umbrella. Shrunken spine.

This lot are horizontal shrunken spine SNES that weren't in the collection. Like the last one I put more effort into these so they should fit in with the full set. It was only after I finished the Donkey Kong Country Competition Edition that I noticed it was already available and on my HDD. The available one looks better IMO, but I thought it would be a shame to waste all the effort I put into the one I threw together. So maybe set it as an alternate? Some were already offered with PAL covers and french language back cover, so I made an NA version. Hope these help :D

Since MAME is getting all the attention, I thought I would give the Commodore 64 some love.
I don't know if there are any purists out there, but some of these had to have replacements of Amstrad to Commodore 64.
Vertical, shrunken spine, and so far just anything starting with a # that wasn't already available.

Hi mastershoes, thanks for all your hard works greatly appreciated.
Could you please help me if you have any link to this project of pc engine hucard spine ? like below:
View attachment 178119
it would be marvelous
thanks
regards
It's Hakaisha's work. This is the post, but the images are not showing anymore:
(OK, this is my first post, so I'm unable to insert links, but it's in the page 87 of this thread, post number #1727)

I'm already doing some work searching for the japanese spines (both hucard and CD), and fixing some of the Tetsuo's covers (black cases that should be white, and vice versa).

Hi folks, I'm currently working on a new cover set for the Famicom Disk System.
I see that there is only a custom cover set for it, and many games are missing.
I'm aiming to recreate the actual original jewel case from scans (I've just found a very good vein of source material to mine here :P)
Here are some sample screenshots of what it would look like using my theme:
3.png 2.png 1.png

Please, let me know what do you think about it or if you have any suggestion. There are roughly 200 games in the fds library. If anyone wants to help me out with this, to speed up things, I can provide templates and assistance.
@fledge68 in order to do this I'd have to edit platform.ini and change the fds flow to cd_case. May I have your permission to do it?

That`s fantastic! In fact, I was really planning to do so, and found the Gaming Alexandria site during the search (or was searching SFC scans? By the way, the magazine scans of that site are a real treasure!) But, before that, I elaborated a list to work only on FDS exclusive games. So, excluding disk writer only games, unlicensed games, and games also released in FC or NES, there's a short list of 150 games, what is quite affordable.

I'm not plenty of time, but i would like to help.

I still cannot attach pdf files, so this are the FDS exclusive licensed games:

That's great! Thanks, your help is very appreciated! So far I'm at 80 covers.
I can PM you a zip with all the covers I made, so that we don't work on the same games, and also the template images. Any contribution, even the smallest, will be of great help.

However, my plan is to include in the set all the FDS games I can find scans for. I'd like it to be as complete as possible.
While it's true that you can find many FDS games in the NES library, they usually have some differences, like an extra sound channel, different fonts, save vs passwords... nothing dramatically different, but some people acually prefer to play them on FDS.
That would leave out just the disk writer games (because there's no official covers for them).
If you want to do some covers for the exclusive games, just tell me and I'll give you assistance.:)

Hi, Tetsuo Shima.
As a 'newbie', I can't send private messages, so I'll respond you in the thread.
In order to help with the covers of FDS, just tell me a list of 10 games you're not done yet, and send me the template, a few covers done, the platform.ini, and the coverflow ini.
The only licensed game i'm missing from the Gaming Alexandria site is Konamic Tennis, but I've already found it at LaunchBox Games Database.
There's also a special "case" for one game: Hikaru Genji - Roller Panic. It came packaged in a standard CD case; so it would be fine to add a new mode to the FDS_CASE (FDS_CASE_2? 3?) to rotate 90 degrees the presentation flow.
Also one more question: at the back of the case, we should always show the B-side or the A-side of the disc? Or the prettier one?

Ok, thanks. You can work on these if you want:
Magma Project: Hacker
Mahjong Kazoku
Märchen Veil
Matō no Hōkai: The Hero of Babel
Meikyū Jiin Dababa
Michael English Daibōken
Moero Twinbee: Cinnamon Hakase wo Sukue!
Monitor Puzzle, The: Kineco - Kinetic Connection
Monitor Puzzle, The: Kineco Vol. II - Kinetic Connection
Monty no Doki Doki Daisassō: Monty on the Run
I don't know if they are all exclusive games, but you can also chose any other game from M to Z, except for Super Mario Bros.2 and Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic, which I've already made.

hmmm I know, Hikaru Genji - Roller Panic has a regular CD Jewel Case. I think it's the only game right? Unforunately, it's not possible to have 2 different modes at the same time in Main view. Even if you assign a new magic number to that single game, and add it to the source ini, only one mode can be used.
I'm afraid that the only thing that I can do to have it in its original jewel case, is leaving it rotated 90 degrees. I'm personally fine with that, while the floppy cases were different in size from CD Jewel cases, they retained roughly the same proportions, so the texture won't be deformed.

About the template. what program are you using? I have it in gimp format, but I can send you the layers separately as .png files

I'm using Corel PaintShop Pro, but don't worry about the template; I'll figure it out from the already made covers.

About Hikaru Genji: I'm talking about modes, not flows. For example, in Super Famicom there were several cases in vertical, and a few in horizontal (mainly RPG). So, in platform.ini I've assigned number 534E5854 to SUPER_FAMICOM (and, of course, made the corresponding plugin ini), and in the [FLOWS] section of platform.ini, assigned SUPER_FAMICOM to sfc_box. Then, in themes_lite\coverflows\Rhapsodii Shima.ini, [SFC_BOX] has 2 modes, one vertical (SFC_BOX_1) and another horizontal (SFC_BOX_2), and I switch between the two modes by pushing button 1 or 2 of the wiimote.

Tetsuo, I am interested in your FDS template. I can make a custom cover for Hikaru Genji to fit the FDS dimensions, if you want to go that route. I personally think it would be better than having to deal with a side-ways cover or forcing the user to flip coverflow modes to properly view a single game.

Here is the main template:
FDS yellow disk - full cover
It's three layers: Foreground goes on top, cover scans in the middle and background at the bottom.
Bakutoushi Patton-kun.fds.png

There could be some games with a smaller back cover, like Akuu Senki Raijin.
Akuu Senki Raijin.fds.png
Here is the small cover template if you should ever need it:
FDS yellow disk - small cover

Once you've assembled the new cover, you have to crop the spine and stretch it to be 60px wide, so that it fills the empty spaces left and right:
