Get ready to re-experience an old game, reimagined. inXile Entertainment is bringing back the 1988 cRPG Wasteland in a new, remastered form. Wasteland Remastered takes the pixelated graphics of the original game and gives it a new coat of paint, to look more like its modern-day sequel, Wasteland 2. Below, you can see a screenshot comparison of both games. Originally announced in 2018, and brought back to the show floor stage at E3 2019, Wasteland Remastered finally has a set release date, which isn't too far away. On February 25, the game will launch for the Xbox One, and PC, on Steam, Windows Store, and GOG. The console version will be available on day one as part of the Xbox Game Pass, as well.

Remaster?
looks like a remade
yeah, seems like these devs don't quite have the differences down

remaster = same game with a few QOL tweaks and a graphical facelift
remake = a complete remake of a game on a new engine with new everything
