so basically i want to update a couple IOSs (55, 57, and 80) however i dont think its working? This all began after I updated my Wii from system menu 4.1 to 4.3 via MMM and I think that removed the trucha bug from my system. I tried updating the IOSs via MMM IOS manager but received error 1035 or 1017 (cant remember), either way both errors are the cause of a trucha bug. Then I tried updating with WAD manager 1.4 and it appeared to work but none of my issues were resolved. From what I've managed to conclude with my extremely limited knowledge of wii modding, the trucha bug not being present limits the ability to install wads so this is what I need help with fixing. I've tried searching around and found some guides on restoring the trucha bug but they're all outdated (one from 2009) and I don't want to risk doing something dumb. I've included a syscheck in the spoiler below for anyone to check out. Any help is very greatly appreciated.

Use ModMii. Run either its syscheck updater wizard or its main wizard, it will recommend various improvements (like reinstalling the homebrew channel to use IOS58 instead of IOS61 for USB2.0 speeds for example)
Ok I've ran and done the updates from the syscheck wizard like you said and everything installed correctly but I still have the problem that I originally had. For some reason my Wii Remote+ has some input lag and my original white Wii Remotes don't, and I have no clue how to fix this. I updated IOS 55, 57 like I wanted (except for IOS80 that didnt install) and it's still laggy D: Any help whatsoever much appreciated.

Hello,

Are your wiimotes official Nintendo ??

If they are counterfeits, they may not work properly.

Hello.:)

Did you "calibrated" it in the Wii System Menu ?
And the Sensor Bar ? Is it also an Original ? Maybe try another if this is possible please.:)

Thank you.:)
I've tried unsyncing all remotes and using my WiiU sensor bar instead of my original Wii sensor bar but still nothing works :(. The only other thing I can think of is that there is too much 2.4GHz WiFi interference in my area.

Maybe it is an Combination of your TV (HD/4K and so on) and your Type of Connection to the Wii.

Did you maybe tried different A/V Cables (if possible of course - Compontent/HDMI Adapter/Standard AV Cable).
Maybe a Setting in the TV (maybe it has some sort of "Game Setting")...
(You maybe know of the Controller Lag´s on Guitar Hero and HD TVs for Example)

Maybe the Batteries in the Wii Motion Controller are to "weak",please try to replace it with new Ones.

Thank you and
Good Luck.:)

I've tried all of this but still no results... At this point I'm starting to think that the plus remotes just have an inherent lag in them for some reason.

Yes they are official. I got them brand new in august.
Where did you purchase brand new Wii Remote Plus units just a few months ago that makes you trust that they're official?

If it was from a collector, a friend with very old spares, donations to a thrift shop, or something like that there would be a decent chance that they're genuine.

If you bought from a marketplace seller, especially if it was for a low price and there were only stock photos (no pictures of the actual item) your chance of getting genuine controllers is very slim. Even with actual photos I see fakes often. There have consistently been sellers of fakes on Amazon, eBay, and elsewhere for years. A thread on this forum from way back in 2011 shows how long this has been a problem:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/wii-remote-plus-beware-of-knockoffs.309692/

Newer fakes in retail boxes that are near-identical clones of real boxes have hit the market since that thread was created. You have to know exactly what you're looking to not get scammed.

I don't have any pics of convincing-looking fake Remote Plus boxes handy, but just as an example of how much the counterfeiters are getting away with here's an eBay listing for a high-volume seller of "Official" and "Genuine" memory cards that look real at a glance but are completely fake:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/173743199562

That seller received feedback for 345 of their many counterfeit GC memory card sales in the past year. Only two of those feedback messages are negative, and those are the only two customers who reported noticing that they were sold fakes. Everybody else either thought they got the real thing or didn't care. It's really quite frightening. Amazon was also allowing high-volume, low-priced sales of the same exact fakes until very, very recently when they finally started cracking down on the rampant problems with counterfeiters that have plagued their site for years. Reviews are here:

I got 2 off Amazon for $80 and checked the seller who seemed reputable (thousands of positive reviews). I highly doubt they are fake. EDIT: Both of them also have RVL-036 beneath the nunchuk connector.

yeah, the motion plus makes movement smoother but adds a little delay.
Uh, no it doesn't. First off no game without Motion Plus support asks for or receives ANY MP data at all. Therefore no non-MP game benefits even slightly from a MP controller AND MP controllers run at precisely the same speed as regular Wiimotes using those games. Games that do require MP are irrelevant since they were designed to work with the extra ones and zeroes coming from the MP Wiimote at literally the speed of light. There is NO noticeable lag due to MP. None. Never was, never will be. End of story. (Check with Dolphin devs if you still have any questions about this. This all is well documented.)
