Hopefully it’s good news, I don’t think I can take another crap 3D Sonic game. Give us HD Remakes, new (good) 2D games and/or an actually decent 3D Sonic...... Crosses fingers and waits with cautious enthusiasm.

True. The last one was Sonic Generations imo, which is around 10 years old.

I don't think Sega has ever done a big reveal for Sonic at E3 in the longest time, if ever. 2019 was the Olympic games, 2018 was Team Sonic Racing, 2017 was Mania and Forces, but both were revealed prior to the show, 2016 was Boom 3DS, 2015 was a skip, 2014 was Boom Wii U...so on and so forth. SEGA plays their reveals really weird, from Comic Con to SXSW, etc. Never E3 afaik.

We can hope! There must be more to this Sonic 3 thing, if changing the music was all they needed to do why haven't they don't it already?

At this point I'd be surprised if we saw E3 at E3. Pretty much everyone of note has quit or turned crap.

As for announcements I'll settle for Sonic Mania 2 with more original zones and an imminent release date. Or hell, even just allowing mod support for the original on consoles.

That’s always puzzled me as well. If it’s just the music that’s an issue, fine, rip it out and do some new music for it. We won’t mind, we’ll just be happy to get the game, we (or most of us) won’t whinge about a different score.

I wouldn’t either if it’s similar in quality to Generations, although I bet people will complain no matter which gameplay style they choose to base it on (i.e. adventure vs modern).

Tee Lopes made a remix of Station Square, so it’s possible he’ll be involved.

to be fair, i don't need HD remakes (i'm not against neither)... but i agree about new good 2D games. sonic mania is fantastic, and i need a new game, with full new stages, music and new story this time.

Well, I was a big fan of sonic back in Sega genesis, after that all sonic games just disappointing, maybe sonic generation was kinda good, other games like Olympics and racing just bad, I mean really bad.

Cmon the racing games up ther with Mario kart - I thought I wouldn't like the team based one but fantastic formula - go back to them and giv em a second go
