ROM Hack Question Dumping cartridges to Switch

I am trying to dump/install my legally purchased cartridges onto my Switch so I won't have to use my cartridges anymore, but I don't know how to do this. I tried using "nxdumptool", but I still have to have my cartridge in the system to launch the game.

I've done research on this and since I am using Atmosphere, I need NSP files apparently, not XCI. Can someone help me with this by recommending me an application that will generate an NSP file that I can install on my Switch and play without having the cartridge in the system?

Very early in the morning so please excuse any typo's. I myself backup my own carts but don't install them so I'm not sure on the exact process of installing them but since I read around the site hopefully might be able to point you in the right direction. I know that the "SX Dumper" dumps the carts to SD card but also has the option to install them as well, only used it for dumping myself but could work for what your looking for. A couple of days ago a new home brew was release called "Gamecard Installer NX" which int he article just said it installs game carts with only two options to the NAND or the SD so that could also do what your looking for, I haven't used that one myself but worth checking into.

Also as I side note I only use my game cart dumps but I think if your installing them you might need to gets patches for Atmosphere as I don't think it loads games not from Nintendo without them but that part I'm completely guessing. hope this help and if not I'm sure someone who knows better will chime in,

didn't nintendo update the cartridge slot software? not doing that will cause the system not to read carts. I don't know if that includes dumping games, but I assume that it does.

You can dump carts as NSP with NXdumptool by the way It’s the second option
