Hacking getting a already hacked switch on ebay

i'm looking at a auction on ebay. the seller claims the switch is already hacked and shows pictures of it with things like homebrew and other system games. the pictures don't look like stock photos you can get online to fake and the system looks the same in every picture. two questions. one should i trust this person? they have 100% rate on ebay and many sales. two what does it mean when it's already hacked? i thought i read that whenever the switch is turned off it wipes out the cfw and when you power it back on it has ofw.

You don’t „install“ CFW. You only put files on your sd card, inject a payload and then boot in CFW. Since this is only a temporary modification, you can install autoRCM which will boot your switch to RCM when you turn it on.

do i have to inject the payload every time i turn on the system (which shouldn't be that often) if i don't use autorcm? so if they guy is on the up and up he basically has a unpatched switch with a microsd card with all the files necessary to boot to a cfw?

I would personally buy an unpatched unit and do it myself. Buying it already modded has some issues.
1. Has it been flagged for a ban? Does the owner know he screwed up and wants to sell it before it gets banned?
2. Does he have a NAND backup you can have? Is the Sysnand clean?

Also, that is really expensive. For that price I would rather know for sure I can play online on clean Sysnand. I mean, the same could happen to an unpatched unit considering custom firmware is only temporary, but the unpatched units have a chance they were never modded before. For these reasons, I bought an unpatched unit on ebay brand new. It only cost me $300 though in a sealed box, nowadays I don't think a brand new one would be so cheap.

Yes you will, and yes you got it right, but trust me he isnt giving you much. Literally all he did was drag and dropped files on the SD card, and including pirated games he got for free

You hardly ever need to push the payload, even without RCM. Just don't bleed the battery completely.

i don't care about playing online. i already have a switch lite for that.

It doesn't mean you have to play online, but I'm saying that if it is banned, the console is worth a lot less. People like this pray on people who are afraid to mod there systems themselves, which I understand for complicated mods, but with the switch it's just adding files to an sd card, and imo isn't worth paying so much extra money. It's almost impossible to brick your console. You have a better chance bricking the console after you already mod it with a bad nsp or something. Plus, it's already at $400, and still has another day of bidding so it will go up even more. Plus, you never want to play online on the TV? Personally, when I'm home I enjoy playing my games on the big screen

I think I know this guy. I know his whole story. he cant get two games to work in sxos and atmosphere.
I have tried to help him.

update: I was wrong

I talked with the seller and he do not have sxos licesnce at all.

he did great job on the hacked switch.

I know this doesn't help much, but I have a factory sealed never opened hackable Switch for sell, but I need to reach 100 posts to sell it here. If you still need one then I'd sell it to you. Good luck finding one, I know they are getting difficult to find.

You have to inject the payload either way. AutoRCM just saves you inserting the jig (which only takes 2 seconds)

It looks legit. Just be aware that the listing can be reported and taken down. If you paid for it, and it's reported and taken down, you should still receive it. But it could be taken down before the auction is ended.
That's way too expensive though. If you look around you can still find new iPatched but hackable 4.1.0 Switches in stores.
An OG Switch goes for $270 new, and like $220 used. Pre-hacking it adds no more than maybe $50 value, and with that comes the risk that it has been flagged or banned already which would make it worth a lot less. So say the Switch itself is worth around $270, the same as a brand new non red box Switch.
The two SD cards together are $70 new, but since these are used and you don't know how long they will last, I would not pay more than $40 for both, $50 if I was desperate but at that point you may as well spend the extra $20 and get brand new ones. In total that's maybe $310 value, the auction is already at over $400 and it still has a day left. Most of the bids happen on the last day. The free games included are worth nothing, as they're pirated and it takes nothing but 5-10 minutes of your time to track them down yourself and download them.

Maybe the OP just want something plug and play. But I think its banned since he said he was updating with Choidjour.

I used to sell on Ebay but I stopped and just only use Offer Up. But Ebay is good I bought like 2 unpatched switches from there in the past
