I think they are so so close with Mariko, but results are inconsistent. Two different approaches for the different SoC.

Fair play to them for investing the dollars needed to prototype such hacks.

A lot of us probably have a decent knowledge, but lack the means to buy stuff for testing. Especially if it's going to be Foss.

The Tegra would still need a signed payload to boot anything. I think this mod will bypass RCM completely. The console will boot as if loading OFW, BIS keys used to load OS from eMMC, then that board between eMMC and mainboard will do sorcery.

I have a revised switch and pokemon switch lite. I kept the revised switch just in case of this and I might get one more for backup once this comes out as a backup.

also FYI for people waiting for this, I would get a switch asap or at least once this is release as I bet they patch it real quick

Ive seen many people spouting crap that has not been confirmed yet they act as if it is.

Educated guess, this will be exactly the same, difference been the exploit that boots sx os menu then sx cfw.

Anyone fail to see the video, its menu is exactly the same.

So why people are instantly jumping to the conclusion that this will only boot sx os, with no solid facts.

Other than i bet theyre the same old ax hating trolls that have to litter sx threads with their bullshit.

Another sensible thing to think about, why would tx go to the trouble of making a different os for the hardmod and block its already provided feature from day one, to boot your own payload.

End of the day tx make their money because customers have to buy it as theirs nothing else out there for these systems.

So id bet that its extremely likely this hardmod will come with the exact same features as we already have now.

So users could click options/payloads and boot their own payload.

It might already be patched on the new hardware, even if TX managed to buy some that are unpatched to develop it on.

You can still find unpatched units in some countries a friend got one from spain a few month ago and didnt known that it was unpatched .I made her bought a SxOs pro Asap and installed .
Theres a lot of unsold units of switch common or unpatched , so dont rush

I have leaked information regarding this modchip. You will mount it to the onboard storage of the Nintendo Switch as a replacement, not an addition. The onboard storage will act normally besides being patched to run pre-loaded games in an account that already has all (at the time, anyway) licenses for the games available on the system at launch date. It's similar to the HDD cloning "hacks" that allowed pirated games on other systems. Also, everyone who buys this is a thief and will get butt raped in prison.
