Jack In The Shop. It's an HBG alternative that includes first-party base games, but you can have HBG and JITS running at the same time.
If HBG goes under JITS no longer has a source for new dumps. (outside of whatever bigger scene names release, https://predb.me/?cats=games-nintendo)

As I said above, I recommend using both at the same time, since JITS serves first-party titles.
Was that supposed to be sarcastic or fact? I have never heard anything about paying for hbg and it mentions nothing on the discord channel under rules also I don’t read this thread very often yesterday was my most recent visit since it first opened

I have two switches in my household. 1 running atmosphere, and one with sx os paid software and when I install hbg/tinfoil 7.01- I still do not have access to pictures of the games under the new games section, it just displays table format.
Also agreeing with Reecey - I cant find any info about where there is a charge for hbg shop for any kind of membership

There is no charge for membership. You can go into their discord, download the zip, put it on your switch and start downloading. (minus 1st party games)
There is a donation system, if you've contributed $33 or more you get a free tinfoil license.
If you think that's unfair, well, go buy from the eshop.
HBG tinfoil repo, discord bots, and spreadsheet do not include 1st party games.
All of these people spinning up their own servers are donating, getting instructions on how to setup their own store, following them, and sharing with others. (JITS for example)
When I said earlier that if HBG goes, so do the others, everyone donating at HBG is keeping this afloat.
While JITS and others my be free to their end users, they're piggybacking on the donations of others that provided the releases in the first place.

You dont haveto be actively Using SX-OS either for HBG , you just need your license.dat in the root of the SD (though HBG staff perfeer you actually go after the 33$ tier to get the license for that instead of supporting SX-OS) i paid for sx-os primarily only for usb HDD loading, and that for wtf ever reason Final fantasy Maxima runs under it not atmosphere)
Tinfoil+HBG is free unless you NEED the features then yes its gonna cost some Dosh. many of the features you can deal w/o
but like by all means if your gonna complain about the cost of sx-os OR the cost for a tinfoil license(which supporting HBG you keep it going, and getting sx-os over tinfoil's you dont.. ) , go into the hbg discord and openly proclaim its freeshop... see how far that gets you

For the record - I was not complaining about loosing the images under new games, just confirming another post that asked if anyone had the same result from the new version of tinfoil.
On a side note- the tinfoil runs great on my atmosphere switch but the switch with sx os runs extremely slow and always crashes. My atmosphere switch is setup on fat32 and my sxos is on exfat. Should I be making the switch to fat32? Is exfat causing this problem?

probably yes.....you should never use exfat due nintendos exfat drivers on switch is shit
I was affraid of that. I did a lot of installs via nsp off the sd card. If I copy the files to the PC and then reformat to fat 32 will everything copy back over to fat 32? Will I loose any games or save data?

This is still completely true, in fact exfat and fat32 drivers are both busted, but fat32 has redundant file tables and is able to recover.
^^^ People who haven't experienced exfat corruption ... yet ^^^

It's completely normal to make some features, even the whole app paid, but I think the developer should be upfront about it. In no modern app store it would even be a viable thing to do. No one to regulate the homebrew, though. I dislike a lot of blawar's decisions, but it's his software, he is entitled to do what he sees fit.
Nowhere on the official site it says that some features are paid. In the app it lists SX OS license exclusive features, but who would want to touch that with a ten foot pole? It's obvious that blawar has some kind of agreement with SX OS hence the whole “BEST™ OS, TOP© USER EXPERIENCE®” thing. Which he presents as a fact that is as far from reality as it could be. If it's meant to encourage me to buy SX OS license—it's doing the opposite. “I'm affiliated with Team Xecuter, I had an app that I was providing for free, but then I update it and decide to make some features paid, it's totally OK, buy SX OS, totally cool guys, my bros”. The only thing it does, it makes me to suspect that the next update for SX OS would be paid or something in that matter. Since they encourage such behavior (I don't know if you came up with this genius “promotion” by yourself or was it in any way coordinated with Team Xecuter), or at least don't discourage it, anything could be expected from them, too.
But, come on. Who would pay for Tinfoil on such conditions? You either have to buy a license to be a certified corsair (aka external drive ROM loading) or donate to HBG (which is not such a bad thing, I guess). It's the most ridiculous ass backwards business model I've ever heard of.
Be upfront about it, take money in some normal way, so people clearly know what they are missing and what money buys them. Otherwise it looks like a confusing dick move.
