1) Atmosphere blocks by default updates of the game card reader. If you want to use game cards while running CFW, you need to disable nogc in BCT.ini (if you boot with fusee primary) or disable nogc in hekate_ipl.ini (if you boot with Hekate). After your game card reader is updated you can't use it on lower firmware. Keep that in mind.
2) Always update Atmosphere before you update your switch. Download the latest Atmosphere release and replace your atmosphere folder on your micro sd card with the one of the newest release. Keep your BCT.ini if you have special options enabled or disabled.
3) Yes, you have to update your sigpatches. Get the sigpatches from the thread in this forum (if you boot with fusee primary) or from Joonie (if you boot with hekate).
4) Yes, you can still use old Homebrew but you should update it to the latest release. Some homebrews won't work on 9.0.1 if you don't update them.
5) The "title" folder was renamed to "contents".
I do use hetake (I think, it's what I read while booting)! How do i disable that? Is there a 1 or a 0 behind the nogc I can edit with textedit?1) you need to disable nogc in BCT.ini (if you boot with fusee primary) or disable nogc in hekate_ipl.ini (if you boot with Hekate).
So has the compatibility fix been removed then? I heard that it was only temporary, but that was rather quick. Some homebrew emulators for example haven't been updated for a year or so...Some homebrews won't work on 9.0.1 if you don't update them.
Will this do?I use the RCMLoader One dongle which allows you to inject every payload and can be therefore used for Atmosphere and SX OS. The SX OS dongle will only let you inject SX OS CFW.
Yes, that's the one I own. Will this do?
Awesome. I just bought itYes, that's the one I own.
Either edit the hekate_ipl.ini file and set "autonogc=0" or boot in hekate and disable autonogc in the GUI.I do use hetake (I think, it's what I read while booting)! How do i disable that? Is there a 1 or a 0 behind the nogc I can edit with textedit?
No, the compatibility fix hasn't been removed yet. It will be removed in the next release. Because 9.0.1 is stable for every homebrew. I am myself on 9.0.1 and everything just works prefect. Update with ChoiDujourNX. You get the firmware files from google, not allowed to link them here.So has the compatibility fix been removed then? I also read that it's recommended to only update to 9.01 and not to 9.10(?, the newest firmware). Why is that? How do I update exactly if I want to keep my gamecard? With what program? Where do I get the firmware from?
Okay another Q, where does atmosphere, edizon and checkpoint look for cheat files, and where are the ini files I can turn off auto cheats.. Like checkpoint shows no cheats for Luigis mansion.. But the game loads with cheats..

emuMMC can be on whatever firmware you want it to be on so long as CFW supports that firmware although your retail cartridges may or may not work depending on the number of gamecart fuses you have burnt. And you can update emuMMC either normally or with ChoiDujourNX.Alright, i tried my best, but sadly i was not able to manage this by myself.
Got a Switch with FW 8.1, it's hackable, can boot up Hekate or whatever other payload, dumped and saved keys, sysnand / emmc, boot files as the sdsetup guide instructs me, and finally was able to boot up emunand with athmosphere cfw. So far, soo good.
I want to use real bought games including online functionalities on the sysnand while using homebrew on the emunand. This however requires me to update the sysnand FW to 9.1.0.
I was not able to extract the necessary information about how to proceed from the various pinned posts - there are just too many different partially conflicting or outdated guides floating around, three or four different sig patch archives and whatnot. As a new person to this matter this makes it incredibly difficult to grasp everything since the whole process seems kind of convoluted on top compared to the 3DS. I really don't like to bother you, but i am stuck. And please trust me, i wouldn't ask if i wasn't.
To come to the point:
Is using a Switch legitimately on sysnand 9.1.0 while still having full emunand capacity on whatever firmware (likely 8.1+) even possible? And if so, can you please point me in the right direction how to achieve this?
And how do i go about updating the emunand outside of deleting and recreating it from my current sysnand?
Thanks in advance.
I guess soOk planning to update my switch now and I've been doing some research in the past. I noticed that this part of the guide is updated https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/user_guide/emummc/partitioning_sd/
It seems I don't need to fix my SD card in my computer and I can do it in the switch itself with the help of TegraExplorer. Is this correct?
Hi I homebrewed my switch using this guide https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/I guess so
If you are using hekate to boot, you need sigpatches from here: https://github.com/Joonie86/hekate/releasesHi I homebrewed my switch using this guide https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/
I'm basically running emuMMC using Hekate. I tried using the sigpatches from this thread and I can't seem to install Pokemon Sword. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
