"He who dies with the most tools wins" -- general life philosophy there.
Humans are very much a tool using species and in the modern world we have many cool things (though have also forgotten quite a few so that plays too).
For the purposes of this I don't care if it is for mechanical, electrical, kitchen, knitting, needs a workshop or fits in a drawer. It can be unusual, a new way to do something far more easily/cheaply/precisely, somewhat forgotten but still useful, or just spectacularly well executed -- for the most part adjustable pliers are second only to cheap adjustable wrenches in the "more properly known as portable adjustable nut lathe" but it seems Knipex managed to defy the odds and many are enjoying their recent takes on the concept.
I will start with the Bernard pliers. Somewhat forgotten today I have been picking them up when I see them as parallel jaw pliers are surprisingly useful for a lot of things, and see me grabbing them in preference to messing around with either a toolmaker's clamp or pin vice for a lot of my purposes.
GOT so song
