The shell of Release Version will be frosted white,
and the crystal one is super limited, only for people who tested ezjr with various mod consoles, not for sale.

Poking around on baidu I found a bit more

No info really (the title is something like stay tuned) but showcases a least a beta of the software. Menu is a bit basic as these things go but seems functional, and in shot is that 8 meg game that in English we probably know as Densha De Go! 2 or something similar (Romanisation is not an exact science).

I don't think anybody would fake this (the thread certainly does not seem to suspect it) and a person with the same username posted a bunch of stuff elsewhere for the Omega some time back so likely a good source.

Also further to the LSDJ stuff some people take this sound lark quite seriously, probably irrelevant here but for the sake of sharing cool links

The poster mentioned is a post-sale account of EZ-Team, official indeed.

Thanks for the info -- it has been a few years since I spoke to anybody but windirt so I do not know who is who any more.

Do you know if anybody has tested with a super game boy (the SNES addon that does original gameboy, but occasionally adds colours, borders, bonus modes and multiplayer) as they can do some nice things. Indeed the multiplayer version of bomberman is second only to the Sega Saturn version and the PCE/TG16 versions (those that might have played it then probably the best versions of the megadrive and SNES take on the game).

PCB shots are also nice. Pulling from those

The big chip in the middle opposite the SD slot. Xilinx Spartan. Can't tell which sort and I don't want to go through manuals and listings right now match fonts and pin counts. Anyway that would be a FPGA, highly programmable chips that can do an awful lot and mimic and awful lot. They can be a bit power hungry but more recent ones do far better than the classic ones.
74LV1?27438 and what looks like the philips logo
Philips do have a bunch of chips with the 74LV1????????? scheme. Most of them are fairly basic logic operators though and given its location relative to the pins and FPGA I am guessing simple operations to get it into a state more suitable for the FPGA's or Gameboy's wants rather than anything particularly interesting.
Not sure what the BGA chips at the top are. Someone can play logo matcher if they want. Given their location on the PCB then firmware for the FPGA or extra memory for it.
Is that a button I see sticking up there? Not sure which of the uses that might be. Classic ones are reset, cheats activate/menu and savestate.
Can't read the text on any of the 8 or 16 pin chips but either the clock for the RTC stuff or more support/interfacing for the FPGA (in this case possibly between the SD slot and it)

It looks like it is available for pre-order at https://www.r43ds.org/products/EZ-Flash-Junior.html for $54.95 and I think I may just pre-order. I've been wanting to get the Everdrive GB but their price is out of my range for sure. I have had no issues at all with my EZFlash Omega, so if this is the same type of quality, it's going to be a decent card.

Thank you for the News ! :yay:

24th December.....:rofl2:

A real Christmas Gift.
The Price is a little "big" for Junior (and me....)

EDIT: Full Support for the Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance/SP, even those with backlit mods and rechargeable batteries.
Ok,then the Price is ok.:)

I'd love to get ahead of ordering one of these! I had an LSDJ cart that I borrowed to a friend who forgot to give it back before he moved 4 hours away. I thought it was great, even though I was only using it for one ROM at a time. I don't mind switching carts on my Game Boy Player at home, but I'd like to have something I can save physical space with that isn't difficult to get ahold of for a decent price. Would even be great to mess around with LSDJ again on my GBC :)

well...in fact, there is a QQ group of EZ team we talk and chat in, and all the pics you have seen about ezjr are shot by windirt. Thats why you see ezjr announced in tieba but almost no one replys.

What homebrew/games would some of you be interested in having tested?

I will be getting one soon and would like to know what some individuals would seek to have tested

If you have SGB capabilities then feel free.

While not my thing I imagine many will want to see if LSDJ does good things. Similarly if you wanted to select the best and brightest from the likes of https://pdroms.de/news/nintendo-gameboy-gb-gameboycolor-gbc/ then I am sure people will be happy to see it.

I would be more interested to see what goes for the various "DX" style hacks some games have been getting in recent years to bring GB games up to GBC standards with colours, speed boosts, bug fixes and the like
Examples
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/175/
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/4477/
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3784/
https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/1385/

I would expect any that claim support for hardware will work here "trust but verify" and all that.

and the MB5 mapper change hacks if them being effectively available means people are going to start looking there
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2835/

on the subject of mappers if you want to fire up a HuC1 game just to make sure (despite being a fairly minor tweak on MBC1 it is notably absent from the feature lists) it works then that would be nice.

I don't know if those personal organisers ever got dumped but for giggles if you wanted to. Bonus points if you manage to change a TV channel with one.

Beyond that afraid I don't have an equivalent of the sorts of things we do to stress/torture test GBA carts and emulators (granted that usually amounts to https://gbatemp.net/threads/buying-a-gba-flash-cart-in-2013.341203/page-18#post-4756995 , various golden suns for the audio, mother 3 maybe for the speed issues, anything that troubles cheat engines https://doc.kodewerx.org/hacking_gba.html#nonstandard and maybe https://mgba.io/2017/05/29/holy-grail-bugs/ and https://mgba.io/2018/03/09/holy-grail-bugs-revisited/ even if those are emulation or system issues rather than flash cart, do note those last two links feature a bunch of GB/GBC stuff).

The one thing I'd like to use a flashcart for would be the translation of For The Frog The Bell Tolls. (I think there was an attempt to DX it at one point that was abandoned.)

I was hoping for cheaper. Looks like I might have to wait a bit for prices to come down or skip on it entirely,

I think most websites are using fillers right now on pricing so i wouldn't rely on them too much at least not until this coming week

Another thing is the everdrives ( official ones) appear to be $100+ depending on what version you get . Maybe the features are worth it to some but i know some people don't feel like dishing out that much money

I am doubtful the final price on these will be 3 digits but i think ez flash has been around for quite a while for most people to know their quality
I have a JR already but i haven't gotten around to testing it but will try tomorrow

50-60 usd isn't bad? What price would seem ok for you to consider?

50USD isn't bad, particularly compared to the everdrive, but I do already have an everdrive, so my threshold is lower. I was hoping for a price in the low 30 range.

I'm confused as why the price on the ezflashomega site keeps changing... last night it was under $50, now its mid $60s? And it says the retail price is $100? seems kinda stupid if you ask me. Hopefully the price doesn't keep going up or itd just be better to get an everdrive or a el cheapo.
