I want some gaming tips for my Nintendo Wii, to give you a reference, I like to play NBA2K11, Need for Speed Undercover, Manhunt 2, No More Heroes, Resident Evil, No More Heroes, Medal of Honor.

There are a lot of Wii games, some exclusive, I've already searched on Youtube and IGN.

I would accept suggestions from some unique game.

I love Marvel and DC Comics related games too...

Only now i found this thread
https://gbatemp.net/threads/essentials-wii-games.308856/

but i doesn't know how to delete this one sorry!

Also Gamecube had some M-Rated games.

Goldeneye 007 (Wii)

Mad World (Wii)

No More Heroes 1 and 2 (Wii)

Worms Battle Island (Wii)

House of the Dead (Wii)

Resident Evil 4 (Wii)

Swords and Soldiers (WiiWare)

Castlevania Adventure ReBirth (WiiWare)

Samurai Showdown 2 (WiiWare or Neo Geo emulator)

Wii-Doom, Hexen, Heretic, Strife (current updated homebrew port)

Eternal Darkness (GC)

Resident Evil (GC)

Hunter the Reckoning (GC)

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes (GC)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

And there's a bunch of homebrew emulators that are fantastically playable on the Wii hardware / controllers. My suggested list:

NES / FCEUltraGX: P.O.W., Contra, Double Dragon, River City Ransom

Megadrive / GenplusGX: Shinobi III, Streets of Rage 2

SNES / SNES9x: Super Metroid

And to mention again, the Wii homebrew port of Doom, Chocolate Doom is excellent and makes a great addition to the wii library.

I would recommend Redsteel 2. It needs the Wii Motion Plus accessory, (The one you need for Wii Sports Resort), but it's a fun improvement over the first game.

Yes, it's a gigantic improvement.

---

If what constitutes "hardcore" games to you is the ratings, I guess you could check Mad World, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories or House of the Dead Overkill. For GameCube, you have stuff like Eternal Darkness, Killer7, Spartan: Total Warrior or Judge Dredd: Dredd VS Death.

By the way, I think there's no point in getting Samurai Shodown 2 when you can pick up the Samurai Shodown Anthology, it has I up to VI in a single package.
I remember people liking the first Iron Man game on Wii, it was short but did interesting things. Batman: The Brave & The Bold is a fun old school beat'em up with cooperative multiplayer too.

Edit: How could I forget? Second Sight on the GameCube it's also pretty great. It's a third person action game that can be played in different ways, being stealthy or just go in guns blazing, either using guns, your psychic powers, or a combination of both.

Less serious but also good are most of the James Bond games on the GC. From Russia with Love and Everything or Nothing and good third person games, Agent Under Fire and Nightfire and first person. All of them are good, there was another one, Rogue Agent that wasn't as well received, never tried it myself.

Lastly, there's Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, G.U.N. and the Time Splitters are top notch too.

"Killer 7" on GameCube is pretty hardcore and twisted. Your character is an assassin with a serious multi-personality disorder. Each personality is a different type of psychotic killer, which you get to play as. It's very gory too and has elements of S&M. My wife does not like it when I play "Killer 7" in the living room. It's one of the most twisted and hardcore games I've ever played.

There's also "Bully: Scholarship Edition" for the Wii, which is very much like Grand Theft Auto (and is also made by Rockstar), but you play a kid who is trying to survive in a very rich corrupt prep school. My wife doesn't like that game either because its kids beating each other up.

There's also "Mortal Kombat" and "Samurai Showdown: Anthology" on the Wii, which I haven't played.

I’m only one person, but I’m giving +2 to ghost squad. I loved time crisis and ghost squad is a pretty good “clone”. Be sure to have your rifle ready. Also house of the dead (2+3 is better than overkill imo) is fantastic. Play these with the lights off and the volume set to 11.

All four of those games are great and totally worth having, but I don't know if I would consider them "hardcore" . Punch Out and Tatsunoko are actually pretty cartoony and lighthearted.
For me hardcore means games with some hard gameplay, maybe the OP means art style

I just got into House of the Dead on the Wi, and I like it. Why in your opinion is 2+3 better than Overkill? People seem to be split on the issue. Do you think HOD is better than Ghost Squad? What about Dead Space?

I like house of the dead 2+3 better than overkill because, overkill was way too cheesy. Like a bad slaughter movie. I liked ghost squad better because, it is pretty much time crisis’ younger cousin. I’ve heard of dead space and have wanted to play it, but I never got to playing it.

Lots of really great games listed here. Glad to see Red Steel and Red Steel 2 getting some love.

Everything Resident Evil on the Wii is gold but RE: Umbrella Cronicles and RE: Darkside Chronicals are both great rail shooters exclusive to the Wii. Physic's based environment gives enemies a weight that isn't seen in other shooters on the console.

I also recommend Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Mad World, Np More Heroes 1+2, and actually Gun for the Gamecube.

Zak and Wiki: Quest for Barbarossa's Treasure is a great little puzzle game, not really hardcore but very fun nonetheless. Okami is a charming Zelda-esq adventure with great art and characters. I also recommend Chibi-Robo! and Metroid Prime 1 and 2 for the Gamecube (or Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii if you're ok with motion controls). Maybe try Metroid: Other M if you're into the Metroid lore.
