I have been using saves from my SD2SNES, which are in .srm format, all I needed to do was rename them 'cartridge.sram'.

I would recommend this method:

- Load the game you want to copy saves over to and save a game on the switch
- Use Checkpoint homebrew to do a full backup of all your saves
- Open up the Checkpoint folder, find the game you want to use your retroarch save for, and save over the 'cartridge.sram'
- Restore saves using Checkpoint

Could be normal, sadly some hacked and/or translated roms don't work with SNES Online.

I tried these Mario Hacks and they all work:

Classic Mario World - The Magical Crystals
Classic Mario World 2 - The Great Alliance
Classic Mario World 3 - The Finale
New Super Mario World - The 12 Magic Orbs
Super Mario Bros - The Hunt for the Magical Key
Super Mario World Co-Op
Super Mario World - Return to Dinosaur Land
Super Mario World 2+3 - The Essence Star
NEW SMW2 - Yoshi's Island
SMW2+
SMW2+2
SMW2 - Yoshi's Island - Kamek's Revenge

NES/SNES Update

I don't anticipate any trouble with the compatibility of the current versions CaVE and SFROM Tool and the coming update, based on the selection of new games.

I don't anticipate any major issues adapting the Full Unlock either, but be advised that the current Full Unlock is for version 4.0.0.0 only. As this update only contains 4 games that are known to work fine with basic settings already, there shouldn't be much of a demand for an update ASAP. So just a heads up that if there is an issue, I'll be taking my time on a update if needed.

Seeing as its fun to make predictions, and test what I have learned. Here's what I predict for footers/codes.

S-2019_e - Super Punch-Out!!
47 02 00 00 A9 10 74 06 70 01 0A 00 00 00 43 61 6E 31
or
47 02 00 00 A9 10 74 06 70 01 50 04 00 00 01 00 00 00 12 00 00 00 43 61 6E 31

S-2025_e - Breath Of Fire 2
47 02 00 00 68 10 74 06 70 01 0A 00 00 00 43 61 6E 31

S-2026_e - Kirby Super Star
47 02 00 00 9F 10 76 78 74 06 70 02 0C 00 00 00 43 61 6E 31

S-2027_e - Star Fox 2
47 02 00 00 45 12 65 0C 74 06 70 01 55 02 00 00 3C 05 12 00 00 00 43 61 6E 31

Of course some variance should be allowed in these predictions for the volume param, as its not always used. And the code order from 2025-2027 could be different.

New Super Mario Land is a new homebrew game coded from scratch, rather than a ROM hack, FWIW. Think there's a thread about it linked from gbatemp front page, if you're interested.

Winter Gold works for me on Switch SNES Online.

I had to manually patch it using the Evil PAL->NTSC pack before converting to SFROM.
The SFROM built NTSC patch did not work, nor did the CNP patch it said had been found.

I did not see anywhere to enter the equivalent to --boost-fx 1.5 that was needed on SNESC?

This is the first custom ROM I've added so I'm not sure if I've done this the best way.

Box art attached.

Just a CaVE DBM 1.0 bug report that Description does not seem to be saved reliably?

On Switch I see "META_TITLE_COMMENT_S3611_e"

Title and meta data is saved and displayed correctly.

Screen recording:

Perhaps your Switch is set to an other language ? You can and have to change the text for each language separately.

But why doesn't the edited description reappear when I relaunch CaVE DBM? As in the screen recording.

This part of the problem doesn't involve the switch.
