Hi Matty,

Still having major problems with the switch not powering up (unless I connect and disconnect the battery strap). Funnily enough, disconnecting the 3v supply to the trinket allows the switch to power up normally without any issues. I assumed it could possibly be a power issue, and upgraded the wire from 30awg kynar to a heavier duty wire and this made no difference. If I send you the switch can you take a look at it?

I can't pm you, not enough posts, but if you could pm me your email address, we could continue the conversation.

Cheers!

Hello I’m French and didn’t speak very well English.
My switch is only use with my son, I would always boot in CFW when I have an sd card inserted and boot in OFW if se card is not present. Is it possible with the trinket and ur files ?
Thanks a lot

Anyone wanna try this?

Trinket only at the minute.

New version of Fusee_UF2.

Back to basics - payload.bin or payload1.bin(or payload1-8 if you have your SAMD set to look for another payload) looked for only.

Horizontal display of battery / SD / payload(PL) status if launch fails for whatever reason.

There is a scratch0 register "set", to stop autobooting "payload.bin" if you are using switchboot.bin(TegraRCMsmash version which I`ll need to update soon to see the scratch0 reg)

Times out after 5 seconds and corrects autopower off, then powers off.

If battery flat, will charge until no bootloop can occur.

If no SD is inserted, batt charge status displayed. Insert SD at any time, SD indicator will turn green - will auto-boot immediately if payload found. If not, will tell you by flashing PL.

If this is the right direction to head in, I`ll replace the version in OP with support for all chips.

Switchboot is included too(mode 1), this UF2 is in mode 2(Fusee-UF2 mode)

I shall give it a go this evening. Does payload.bin go onto the root of the SD card?
Yes sir.

I think the threshold of charging is set a little too low in the above test release. Its set at 1% anti-bootloop.

So I have increased it to 5% minimum charge in the upcoming "release".

Nevertheless, this will stop your Li-Ion battery becoming dangerously discharged.

In theory, this SHOULD help prevent BQ24193 failure, as the battery will never become dangerously discharged, thus causing a very high current draw, beyond BQ24193 limits.

Horizon has its own battery management routines, but in RCM mode, there is nothing. The battery will keep drawing power until the battery`s internal protection cuts in.

Possible, definitely.

Not sure if I implemented it though, as how would you boot OFW if you needed to use SD card in OFW?

Good question, maybe i can use 2 SD : SD1 for CFW and SD2 for OFW, the chip should detect SD1 and SD2 and boot to the appropriate firmware ?

It can be implemented very easily.
Though people with incorrect fuses burnt would just get a black screen.

Will look into that this afternoon

This version works much better :) I no longer have to pull the battery lead.

I do occasionally have to supply power through the USB C lead to get it to boot, which I find a little unusual.

How long is the power button supposed to be pressed when booting from power off, is it held for any length of time. I usually hold power and volume + then release power after a couple of seconds, is that correct.

If it fails to boot doing this, I hold volume + and plug in a USB C lead and that does the trick.

Cheers!

@mattytrog Is it possible to update a trinket m0 using a payload? installed chip doesn't show up in windows anymore(switch doesn't either for that matter)

So was wondering if i could update via placing some form of payload in the switches SD, I was able to interact with the switch and the chip from PC before but at some point it stopped working and IDK if its windows or an update to the chip that did it.

Chip says its on Simple-UF2 0.9.9r4 if that helps any.

Do you see the red LED when double pressing reset? If so, wait a couple of seconds and press the power button to get the Switch into sleep mode. The UF2 drive should pop up in your explorer.

Matty, have you already scheduled the latest Hekate for Switchboot?

Having the system in sleep then plugging it in, press power again to put it back to sleep then double pressing the trinket got it to show up.

Thankies! :D
