As I stated in my title, I installed USB Loader GX on my vWii after softmodding it using https://wiiu.hacks.guide/vwii-modding.html .
I plugged in my internally powered hard drive using a y-cable, with the data end being connected to port 0 and the supplementary end connected to port 1.
I even tried plugging in the supplementary end to the wall. I also tried not using a y-cable altogether (didn't work).
Most of the time, when I loaded USB Loader GX it just went to an 8 channel list without my games. Other times, it just hanged on the "initializing usb" or something and I had to unplug it in order to exit that screen.
USB Loader GX, however could not detect my games, so I looked around this forum and changed the loader's ios to 58 and the game's ios to 249.
It still didn't work, so I checked the format of my hard drive. It was formatted as MBR.
Whenever I load it on witgui, it shows all my games. When I load it on the wii, it works perfectly.
I'm wondering if anyone could help with this problem.

Hello

Is your external hard drive formatted in FAT 32 (recommend) ??

Connect the hard drive to the back of the Wii U with the Y cable, the big cable on the top port (wii sleep ) and the small cable on the bottom port.

Do you test to plug into the USB ports at the front of the Wii U ??

Test another loader (wiiflow or Configurable loader v70) ??

Post a syscheck report by following this guide (recommend) ==>https://gbatemp.net/threads/syscheck-hacksden-edition.356133/

1. I noticed it was exFAT so I am currently backing up my current games and reformatting the hard drive to FAT32. Because of the large quantity, it will take a while, so I will attempt to load USB Loader GX tomorrow.
2. I already attempted that and it still didn't work.

For numbers 3 and 4, I didn't get around to trying them yet because I started the process of reformatting already and I have to wait for it to finish. For number 5, I attached my syscheck report to this post.

Sorry to bring this up but how do you get larger backups on a fat32 hdd?

Hello

NTFS format, you can put files larger than 4.37 GB. But you can only put wii games

With the FAT 32 format, you cannot exceed the files of more than 4.37 GB. But you can put wii and Gamecube games there.

But for wii games; you have to use "" wii backup manager "to split the games into two of more than 4.37 GB. Wii backup manager manages wii games very well, split them and place them correctly on your USB support.
