Hello guys,

I need help with my boot.dat problem for my switch.
I owned banned switch with SX OS CFW and just purchased a used switch.
The switch S/N: XAJ7003025xx
Yes I have done all the researched in several forums to resolve this problem but it still stuck in boot.dat screen.

Things I have tried:
-format the sdcard to FAT32 & exFat
-tried multiple sdcards with both formats
-use the successful sdcard from my 1st switch to the 2nd switch
-swap to the sdcard module from my 1st switch to the 2nd switch
-I even tried buying new sdcard 200gb sandisk and put the boot.dat file and putting into RCM mode to the first switch and it successfully booted to the sx os screen. But when i tried to do it to the 2nd switch it goes back to boot.dat

I hope anyone can help me resolve this issue

Thanks!

sounds like the sd card slot is either unplugged or broken, or you have a corrupt boot.dat file

As I stated above I have tried with another switch's known working sdcard slot.
I also tried using the same boot.dat file on my first switch and it is working fine.

First turn on your second switch without injecting any payload or RCM mode. When it turn on, inster the SD Card and check if the Switch is reading it. If not, it means you have a broken SD Card slot
Let me know if your switch recognice your SD Card.

The 2nd reading the SD card normally. I have tried swapping the SD card slot between sw1 and sw2, and try running the SX os in sw1 with the 2nd sw SD card slot and it is working fine. But the 2nd switch still doesn't recognize the boot.dat file.
