This is quite a common occurrence to accidentally hit the minus button.
But one problem I'm having now. I'm doing the GC VC Injection with it, but want to change some of the settings; namely the aspect ratio. But when I go to Nintendont and change the aspect ratio in the settings, it doesn't change it when I go back and actually play the game.

yeah its a pain in the ass but you have to launch a a game from nintendont to save the settings. otherwise you can use teconmoon vc injector to generate the settings on the sd card

Hello to whomever's reading this reply! I have a USB replica version of a gamecube controller, I have Nintendont and Need For Speed: Most Wanted gamecube version installed on my wii. I bought the USB replica version of a gamecube controller yesterday and was excited to try it out with Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Unfortunately, i found out that every single button was switched. Example: A is switched to B. I got some help from a another forum. I named the folder "controllers" and i named the ini file that i got from the other forum and named "controller.ini". Removed the sd card and put it in the wii. Lanuched Need For Speed: Most Wanted and to my surprise, it didn't work. Went back to the forum and the guy told me to rename the ini file "0006_0079.ini". Did that and still it didn't work. (Nintendont is on my sd card and NFSMW is installed on my usb). The guy told me that if i did all that and it still didn't work, means that it is not sufficient override Nintendont to my own settings and told me to come here to ask how do i override Nintendont's settings. And, here i am. I would love some help here.
So, basically what this user asks is if it is possible to remap the buttons set for usb controllers that have .inis that come with Nintendont.

I've already had this user try to see if making a .ini for the controller and having it in the appropriate places (SD root and controllers folder) would override the .ini from Nintendont, but it doesn't, apparently.

Would be nice if anyone could comment on this because it seems weird that Nintendont doesn't allow you to remap your controller to your own liking if there's already a .ini premade for it.

Sorry to disturb you @FIX94 , but I wonder if you have any clues on this. It would be very appreciated!

Thanks for helping me @Zense, but I already returned the usb controller.

Ah, that's too bad. My only advice if you buy a new one is to check here if it works or for recommendations as there are many controllers that work well, wireless even if you want.

Still, the problem stands because if I get a PS3 controller and want to use it I won't be able to remap it, because it already has a premade .ini in Nintendont.

full example for cheatcodes:

/sneek/kenobiwii.bin
/games/GZLE01/game.iso
/games/GZLE01/GZLE01.gct
Then in nintendont, enable Cheat code setting.

OR

/sneek/kenobiwii.bin
/games/Zelda wind Waker/game.iso
/games/GZLE01/GZLE01.gct
Then in nintendont, enable Cheat code setting.

OR

/sneek/kenobiwii.bin
/games/Zelda wind waker [GZLE01]/game.iso
SD:/txtcodes/GZLE01.txt <---- downloaded by the USBLoader
SD:/codes/GZLE01.gct <---- generated by the USBLoader
- When using USBLoaders, you can put cheatcodes in any folders, as long as your USBLoader see it and send it to nintendont.
- In your Loader, download the cheat list, it will be saved as GameID.txt in the loader's defined folder for .txt files.
- Then select the codes you want to enable and generate the gct file, it will be saved as GameID.gct in the loader's defined folder for .gct files.
- Then enable Ocarina setting in your loader and launch the game.

In all 3 cases:
The sneek folder and the games folder need to be on the same partition.
If your games are on USB, put /sneek/ on USB too.

USBLoaderGX automatically copy Kenobiwii.bin and the gct to the game's partition if they are on another partition. (if you put controller.ini, cheat path and kenobi files on SD while games are on USB, it will copy files to USB)
I don't know what other loaders are doing.

this tutorial for GC only? or for vWii inject games too?

I have a question. I'm planning to put Nintendont on my vWii, however my hard drive containing vWii games is connected to the Wii U with a Y-Cable. I'm wondering if that will cause problems because it is only one hard drive but it takes up two ports.

You have 2 more ports in the front
And if those don’t work, you can just plug in 1 usb, I forgot which one it is, but one should work fine.

For vWii, my hard drive doesn't have an external power source so it needs to have a y cable so it can get power from 2 ports.
I tried plugging in the hard drive for one port and it didn't work.
I'm asking if it's ok to use two ports for nintendont as the post states that only one hard drive can be used, and I'm only using one so I'm fine, but it also stated that it didn't support dual ports.

Ohh that’s what your asking. So it should work because the other cable isn’t used for data. Only one usb is used for data while the other one is used for more power I believe.

If it doesn't work, then a definite solution would be to install your nintendont titles on your wiiu home menu using tecmoon's vwii injector. I know this works with gc games running through nintendont stored on a y-cabled hdd because that is my setup.

I'm having major issues with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets running from HDD with a fresh install of nintendont. It shuts down my system. The pal version will boot but only in stretched widescreen and i cant force it into 4:3. I've tried 3 different ntsc versions with no luck. If anyone has a fix, I'll be much obliged. Really wanna play this one.

Is this on Wii or Wii U? Are you running it through the Nintendont menu or through a loader of sorts?

just a wii and both I've used Nintendont and Usbloadergx with the same outcome. Every other game I've tested has booted and ran fine.
