The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will be coming to the Nintendo Switch next year

The Nintendo Switch is about to get another juggernaut JRPG title, in the form of Falcom's third entry of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series. NIS America will be bringing over Trails of Cold Steel III, which launched on the PlayStation 4 earlier this year, to the Nintendo Switch, for both North America and Europe. Though the first two games aren't available on Nintendo's console, you'll be able to continue the long-running story if you've been playing on other systems, or you'll be able to jump in halfway through and get caught up with the narrative and characters. Cold Steel III will run at 720p, locked to 30fps, in both docked and handheld modes. You'll also be able to try the game out before buying, with a demo that'll be available on release day. Currently, the game is slated for a spring 2020 release, in the west.

And the First two , they will not coming ?

Doesn’t seem like there’s plans for it right now. Too bad, I’ve been meaning to get on this series for a while and this would’ve been a good excuse, but I’m not really interested in trying to jump into the story part way through.

Are they good overall in terms of story and gameplay or they are only plot based games ?

Yes. But you need to have played cold steel I and II at least as the narrative is all linked together.

Personally I'd suggest playing through the entire Kiseki saga. This goes back to the Trails in the Sky trilogy and the Trails of Zero duology. The games take place in one world and has fantastic 2orld building. You really appreciate the aces you and characters you meet.

They detail level of the assets is pretty low with part 1 at around 3GB and part 2 with 4 GB on PS3, maybe they were planned to be Wii games?
The games must be pretty good if they are courageous enough to still charge pretty much full price on every platform.

These games have save data transfer across all 4 of them IIRC so just porting 3 is very weird.
CS3 actually doesn't transfer data from CS1 or 2 because CS3 was the first title Falcom released on PS4. CS1&2 got ported to PS4 afterwards. I think they have a minor bonus in CS4 though.

I played CS1 and carried my save over to CS2, and enjoyed how the characters remembered some of the previous events of the game based on my decisions. Added a lot to the story. I'm assuming CS3 does not remember any of this then?

No spoilers please, but does it hurt the story of the game in anyway as I haven't had time to start CS3.
