Do you mean "are"? At least you are being consistent about the use of cars, but that's really a separated issue from whether cars are becoming more environmentally friendly or not. Increasing relying less on unclean energy to built and fuel cars, yet somehow EVs are still worse. Also, self-driving is increasing becoming a thing. Quite frankly, I think it easier and more realistic to move to cleaner and safer technology than to expect for everyone to suddenly drop their cars. Technology that would still need to be developed, even if everyone stopped using cars, because people still need to travel far distances. Still, it is nice to see that you care about the environment so much. It is too bad that you are so angry at people that are worried about man-made issues and want to help the environment, but aren't perfect like you..

Seeings as we're all supposed to be dead in less than 12 years why is anyone making long term plans for the next upcoming decades? My statements about the carbon imprint of cars were related to right now and as of right now they have a larger carbon imprint than gas gusslers do. I've not driven a car for 20 years and I've done so by my own choice as I don't want to be one of the most contributing factors to man made climate change. If we got rid all of the passenger cars and relied on city buses for local transit (no Uber, fuck Uber), rental trucks for moving property and big rigs for moving goods we'd remove a large majority of the carbon being created. Needless to say none of these buses, trucks or big rigs need to run on gas either.

So I assume with your "people still need" comment that there's going to be plenty of "but I" excuses to why people refuse to admit they're willingly and generously causing most of the carbon gases being put into the environment. If the world was really going to end in less than 12 years you would think that making personal sacrifices like walking more and travelling less would be a very small thing to ask of the general population. However, just like the scum bag politicians that say they can fix global warming with the the "give me your money" lies, yet own property that produces more carbon than small cities do, most people don't have any real desire to change anything in their own lives. They just bitch online with no intention on doing anything and then think that voting for people that have no intention on doing anything either will somehow fix the problem.

Whatever happens there will have to be a slow transition, because the world isn't going to end in less than 12 years and people either can't afford to buy all electric cars or people would refuse to give up their cars. I don't see the latter happening, you know, people giving up their cars (because that would just make sense), but in the future when we replace dirty energy production with more cleaner energy that has less of an environmental impact the carbon footprint of electric vehicles will be drastically reduced. Although, if we just slowly got rid of the cars instead we'd have results that produce much less carbon then keeping them around.

All Musk's excuse has done is create a huge PR disaster out of what was already a PR disaster. Why on earth would you expose your products biggest flaw?

Now the world knows to kill someone in a cybertruck you just ram a car into the door then shoot the victim through the no longer bulletproof glass. Good job Mr Musk

Bulletproof glass only prevents a small amount low caliber bullets from penetrating it. There's many methods to destroy it without bullets. It's just a preventative measure. Though, ramming the door wouldn't suffice. You'd have to weaken the glass by directly damaging it with a large object. Possibly, you could pay to have custom Blast Resistant Glass glass installed? That would add to the quality of protection. Though, I'm not sure why you'd need such protection unless you live in a area like crime ridden Liberal inner cities with daily gang warfare. You'd imagine that someone who could afford this would avoid such places, but I guess if for whatever reason you would need to visit a ghetto you'd have a chance if some thug decided to shoot you while you sat in your car for the various reasons the thugs in inner city ghettos randomly shoot people while they are sitting in their cars.

fyi - I break glass as a past time. It's a great way to deal with stress and anger management, plus it's fun to watch it shatter. The double pained safety glass from old school buses is a real treat to bash with large objects. It's much more fun then that fake Hollywood breakaway crap they use to prevent the actors from getting cut. Bleeding from my hand and getting stitches is just a minor setback to a great hobby.

Is it just me... or every time I see cybertruck I cannot stop thinking of cyberpunk? Such a lost opportunity to partner with CD Projekt Red imo.
PS: Even the cybertruck logo font seems a copycat from the game.
