Capcom is reportedly developing a 'Resident Evil 3' remake

re3.jpg
Following the success of the Resident Evil 2 remake released earlier this year, it wouldn't be surprising for Capcom to want to remake more of its classic titles. Indeed, 2019's Resident Evil 2 scored 92 on OpenCritic and 91 on Metacritic (PS4). Our own official review gave the title a 10/10!

There have been rumors going around that Capcom's next remake would be that of Resident Evil 3, and today Eurogamer seems to have more news regarding bringing this classic game to current gen consoles. In an article published today, the online outlet wrote that they have also heard of the project, stating that "sources close to its development suggest it has been in development for some time - although the franchise's upcoming multiplayer portion Project Resistance is currently being given the spotlight."

In any case, such news have to be taken with a grain of salt before we can hear the official confirmation. Nevertheless, would you like to see a remake of Resident Evil 3 on current-gen platforms?

I always knew they would do this. I haven't played 2 and 3 because I don't liked PS1 version when I was in teenager. Finished 0-1,4,5,6, and 7. Absolutely loved them. Can't wait for 2 and 3!!! Chris Redfield is my absolutely favourite character!

I doubt code veronica will get the similar treatment like 2. I think the best we can hope for CV is a remastered rerelease like RE1 and RE0

You might be right but it's total bullshit seeing as CV is the actual sequel and 3 is the low effort spin-off. Sony just had to get their grubby hands into the naming process.

Hu? What was so horrible about Dino Crisis 2? Serious question. I liked it much more than Dino Crisis 1. Never played Part 3 though, I did not even know it existed.
I'm with you I loved the first 2 the 3rd one was an xbox exclusive and became a jason x in space, it wasn't a bad game but it was out of left field ,it basically killed the series and Capcom was pushing Onimusha I think at that point.
But on another note this is going to be great Nemesis was awesome.. Stars...Stars..

While I would not say no to a Resident Evil 3 remake in the style of the recent RE2 effort I can't say it particularly grabs me. I liked 3 well enough (we put many many hours into it after it released) but I am not sure what I would really gain here like we saw for 2 as much as so much DLC/expansion pack.

I will however join the echo for a revisit of Dino Crisis but with some modern twists. Though I also see how that might be a bit of a dream -- I can't imagine outside of fans of it (it was not the most popular at the time either) that it holds anywhere near the kind of clout the Resident Evil franchise holds. If it does turn out they have a team not doing much and the code is adapted easily enough then please do.

Lucky you as these games weren't for kids

How do you figure? What about such games is so troubling for kids to play?

If you think it's normal for a kid say 6 yrs old to go around stabbing zombies with blood showing with jump out scare moments also and going to school next day and telling ther teachers what they did last night then you need Yr head tested

Nobody has ever quite managed to explain why blood is bad for kids to see. Indeed no blood is probably worse from where I sit (if you hit something it will bleed, worth learning that one early).

Also what does jump scares have to do with things? Don't kids literally get given a jack in the box toy?

What do you think would happen if the 6yr old went to school and stabbed a kid in class as they wouldn't kno the difference between right and wrong prob mess up ther brain and make them more violent anyway I'm not gonna argue with you mate as you like to disagree with everything thers a reason why these games are rated for a mature audience

How is that any different to cartoons or films which already feature such things? Is something like CSI or the other various police procedurals that much different to Resident Evil?

Also why choose 6 and not 12 in this example? That said do 6 year olds not know the difference between right and wrong?

There are reasons. Most of those seem to be because censorship bodies haven't got a clue and are winging it as they go, possibly with a backhander from an extant industry that is threatened by the newcomer. Or if you prefer why do different parts of the world, ones with similar base histories and approaches to morality, have such differing views? If there was some kind of scientific basis they would have a decent justification for any differences.

Also are you not saying computer games cause violence in that? Did we not just spend decades proving that not to be the case.
