Hacking Need Guidance on a newly purchase 5.05 PS4

I recently bought a jailbroken PS4 running 5.05 off ebay. My question is how do i properly set up the internet on it so I can use things like PS4Cheater/PS4'a'Cheater. The guy I bought it from said to never go online and nothing I find online explicitly tells you what to do to use these programs and stay safe from updates from Sony. I have read some tutorials on jailbreaking so I had an idea on what needed to be done to use it. The PS4 is set up without internet that I can go into web browser and start the exploit. It works great. Already installed some games and tested them.

I think it's covered on the guide @KiiWii put together, basically you keep your console offline or you hijack/blacklist Sony's known IP addresses or FQDN, from what I know public DNS used for the exploit should do it for you but you should check, I do it myself with dnsmasq with a NAS on my LAN as it's trivial.

About cheating, I've only tried the RTE from http://ps4trainer.com/

P.S. if you ever launched the Vortex HEN once you'll find that updating the firmware require some effort, unless you delete a couple of directories in the FS the update will fail.

Just use the payload to block updates, never try to log in on PSN or put a disc on the drive with a firmware higher than 5.05..avoiding that, you are safe to use WiFi/cable to do other things on the net..

Uncheck auto-download/update in ps4 settings then connect it to your home modem/router and run kiiwii x-project here https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-x-project-5-05-self-host.512046/#post-8156746 from pc/lap (which is connected to same network with PS4). Cache x-project by navigating to Cache tab and run X-Project Host Cache.

Then navigate Block tab and run Update Disabler once, this payload will create an update dummy file/folder which prevents Ps4 from downloading official update files even it's connected to the internet. Now you can use your ps4 with cheats comfortably.

I've only tried cheats from ps4modding.net by following steps:

- Download their android app called PS4 DroidTrainer and install to my phone. Phone connected to wireless network which PS4 is connected to.
- Turn on PS4, run WWW app, run Hen, press PS4 Home button to back to XMB, run WWW app again, this time run Binloader (on Quick tab, X-Project)
- Run PS4 DroidTrainer, then type your Ps4 IP Address and press Inject RTE, Ps4 will pop up notification about this on screen.
- Run your game, when the game's in menu, switch to your phone and choose trainer list option in the trainer app and choose your cheat, it will also notify which cheat is on use on TV screen.

thank you all for your information. i am more confident connecting to my network without updating and ruining my jailbreak.

*i connected to the internet unfortunately i cant get the trainers to work. no matter what i do it says my firmware is not supported even though i am on 5.05. the other trainer ps4atrainer sends the payload and connects but says every game is wrong cusa id. i gave up after trying for over an hour.*

Can you rewrite the steps you did to see where is the problem? And which were websites/apps you used?

I once has problem with God of War, the one installed on my PS4 has cusa ....035 (already did double-check with PS4PKGViewer), I tried the same cusa on ps4 droidtrainer but it didn't work, so I tried another cusa ....033 on the app it worked to maximize exp and hacksilver in-game.

I couldnt get the webrte payload to get sent over but after what you posted i searched ps4 droidtrainer which led me to the webrte.pkg which after i installed and loaded everything worked. was just cheating in God of War. thank you
