A homebrew app that sends screenshots/gameplay to your Android device? Something quick and easy to use, where you select what you want to send and on your Android device you receive it, similar to those phone apps that let you share files between phones.

If not, I assume the current option is enabling ftp and accessing it through your phone with a ftp app? Would someone be kind enough to share a quick and easy setup, phone app name and homebrew app name? :) (on an Android for me)

Don't think there is a Homebrew app as such. On the switch side, ftpd is what you want to run an ftp server on the switch, not sure of best app on the Android side

Any FTP client should do. I use a modified ES File Explorer Pro version (modified because it's malware otherwise). Working great.

ftpd, got it. I'm not looking to mod ES, I don't want to deal with that, I'll look for one myself if no one recommends an app in due time. Thank you both. :)

X-plore with dark mod and the free and wonderful MiXplorer which has the best looks and features. also amaze which is foss and on fdroid as well. Solid Explorer looks nice but the drm is retarded, and for functionality its probably not worth fixing.

total commander is good but i think its features overlap with first two and yeah its ugly

Thanks, but do any of those provide thumbnails for screenshots/videos? It would save me a lot of time. If not, I'm fine with Turbo FTP as it's sleek, simple, and gets the job done.

I switched from ES to Solid Explorer as it was what most former ES users recommended and I like it. It has both FTP server and client functionality :)

Is thumbnail preview possible in these ftp apps?

MiXplorer and X-plore yes. probably solid explorer also. MiXplorer is similar to unix/OSX you have an option for list/details and icons. the preview size is generally adequate but not customizable in X-plore.

If you look for MiXplorer you should search for the release thread on xda-developers forums. it may also be in their app store/page.
everything is free and there are a lot of great plugins/skins
