Awoo Installer 1.1.0

- Removed SX OS license.dat check

As a frequent critic of the new xecuter, would just like to say thank you for removing the check. As much as some of their practices irritate me, its important that you set the right standard. Two wrong's dont make a right here. xecuter utilizes open source code for commercial profit and yet restricts access to non-xecuter users on some of their products.

But there's no reason for you to do the same to them. Its better to be the bigger person - leading by example. Open source should be open to all without these author-imposed restrictions.

Thanks for doing that!

Have you considered submitting Awoo to the HB App Store? That way we can all update from there when there's a new release instead of dragging a new .nro to our sd cards. If that's not an option maybe add a self-updater?

I've just tried to install over LAN with nsb-uploader.
I can select the NSP and when i click on + to install, I got: "PerformRequest:93: Failed to retrieve HTTP Header: Couldn't connect to server".

Is there any nsz host working with macOS? Can't find my way with NS-USB Loader, Quark, Nut nor Fluffy...
Also, Awoo installer doesn't have a USB install??? I only see Install from SD or Install over LAN.
The best i can is a Failed to retrieve HTTP Header: Couldn't connect to server on NS-USB Loader over LAN
Goldbrick crashes on Remote PC (USB) with NS also. Damned frustration to just install a nsz

I'm on MacOS too and I have the same error so I guess you can forget Awoo for now.
I'm using NS-USB along with goldleaf without any problems: launch the jar, select goldleaf, choose the files, click on send, then on goldleaf "explore", VIRT and install.

For nsz, I haven't tried yet.

Yeah, that's what i use, but can't find a solution for NSZ yet. Don't know why goldbricks doesn't work either.

I've submitted an application, if it's approved you'll see it on there soon. :)

I can't speak for how Mac OS works, but perhaps take a look at whatever firewall settings it may have applied. Worst comes to worst, you can upload it to Google Drive and install it by pressing Y on the net install page, or copy it to your SD card.

It's a planned feature. The reasons for it not being included yet have been discussed previously in this thread.

Can you in the future and the ability to browse the sd card to locate a nsp/nsz to install? or add the nxdumptool directory as a location to look for nsps? Otherwise great tool!

I've been putting this off because it was a little more complicated than I thought it would be to implement, but here it is... Will be included in the next release.

When/If it works with NS-USBLoader through USB, i'm sure to leave Goldleaf, nsz addition is very welcome. SD installs (more SD space required) or network (slow af) are features i currently don't use.

Very nice. I have been struggling to make goldleaf work. Are you planning to implement USB install?
I don't have any current plans of my own for USB support beyond @HookedBehemoth trying to figure it out in a "reasonable" way, and then me making it work with the UI. The way USB interfacing works with libnx currently is just too far from a usable experience for me to implement and keep the "just werks" part of the feature list. I have a good rant about my struggles here.

Unironically Awoo Installer has been faster for me over Wi-Fi with boost mode enabled than Goldleaf's shitty, buggy (usbcomms issues probably) USB implementation. We get 40MBps over ethernet with net installations by the way. Only 40 because we're maxing out our SD controllers.

Not meant to start an argument or something, I'm just saying net installs have a world of their own benefits over USB installs, even if you don't ditch your built-in wireless module to do them. Try it!!

Me Personally, I get 12 MB install over usb with Goldleaf and usb, and with Awoo Installler I get 4.5 to 5.3 MB install over wifi. On the other hand my wireless router is crap, but still in some cases slow usb is still faster than wifi.
