Hi, I have a 3DS I am trying to restore, the original model.

While it is easy to find replacement parts for the New /XL/LL and 2DS systems, it is excruciatingly difficult to find parts for the original 3DS (first-gen). Mine is Ice White and Ideally I would like to keep it that way, but if impossible I will consider using parts from another colour set.

Ideally, I am only looking for the L/R buttons. Even more specifically, just the R button. But I don't think anyone sells individual buttons as far as I can see.

I have been able to find the buttons as part of complete housing sets, but they sell for very high prices, and I do not know if these are original parts.

Does anyone know a reliable vendor that deals such parts, OEM? Or at least, who knows that a third party non-OEM part is as close to the genuine product as possible?

Many thanks!

Do you want to replace the actual switches or the plastic button pieces?
Sorry for not specifying: I am replacing both. The system I got fell on the side of the R button causing both the switch / flex cable to break, and the button itself to have a dent on it. So I will replace both the flex cable with the button and the button itself.

However, while finding the flex cable with the switch/button was easy, finding the plastic button piece has proved a nightmare.

Many thanks for these responses. These were what I found as well, and I found them to be way beyond my price expectations. In the end I decided to just restore and clean the existing shell rather than buy a new one.
