Im currently running renix with firmware 8.1 looking to move over to atmosphere. do I need to install firmware 9.0.1 with choidujour on renix then move over to atmosphere or can I put all sd files and payload files on and it will boot then install 9.0.1? thanks.
Same here so I’d like to know this also. Except I’m already on Atmos. Just wondering proper steps to upgrade and is there any good reason to do so?

Probably there's no reason not to... However it all depends if you still don't care to play any game that needs 9.0.1 then your probably not loosing anything and I don't know which games are 9.0.1 yet either...

I'm only using SX OS emunand and for me since I was a lot outdated and their latest version that fully supports 9.01 is now stable I just updated a few time ago and no problems...

Witcher 3 requires 9.0.1 & you are the lucky enough to update without problems.

I have a question. I have two Switches. I bought the first in late 2017 and the second before July 2018. It says on the Is my switch patched that the newer one is patched despite having bought it in late June.
What's more... it worked flawlessly jig and all into RCM mode until the 9.0.1 update. I tried the same thing for my older Switch after porting everything over and got it into RCM mode, but this time, it said there were no payloads. I used TegraRCMSmash to inject the payload but for some strange reason it didn't say there were any payloads. Not even fuse-gelee!

Do I have to wait until Scires comes out with a version for 9.0.1 devices, or is there something I'm doing wrong with Atmosphere?

It doesn't matter which year(s) you bought them. The important thing is the serial number(s)

Atmosphere 0.9.4 is for firmware 9.0.1 .As for what you are doing wrong, can you be more specific? Atmosphere payload ver? Did you update your firmware 9.0.1 properly? exFat or FAT32?

Yes I updated firmware 9.0.1 officially and it's an exFAT I believe.

The payload version is the latest. Now it boots to Atmosphere but leaves a black screen as it drains the battery thanks to the CFW. I tried both fusee primary and CFW as shown in this videp:

I personally wouldn't recommend folllowing his vids. No reply at all from him when things turned sour. What he shows are shortcuts. Improper & not full steps

Let me get this straight. Now you found your payload(s) but it becomes stuck at black screen after payload injected? Do you see the Atmosphere Screen logo (after payload injection) before it turned to black screen? Do you have any custom themes ie NXTheme installed?

Yeah I saw the Atmosphere Kosmos logo. This time, I waited a bit before doing anything and it booted up to the home screen. The only problem is that I couldn't get Checkpoint to work whether I used it on Gallery or a game to use as a base. Does Checkpoint not work for 9.0.1 or is the one I downloaded from SD Setup outdated?

Have you update your Sig patch to ver 9.0 or still on 8.1.0? Checkpoint ver? Any error message for Checkpoint?

Hey all, I'm one of the ones having issues going from ReiNX on 8.1 to Atmosphere on 9.0.1. I upgraded using choidujourNX and can boot into OFW just fine. I believe my issue comes from formatting in exfat instead of Fat32, but I just want to confirm. After replacing ReiNX with Atmosphere and making sure that no themes or anything like that are interfering, when I load fusee_primary my Switch will show the Sept/Atmosphere splash screens and then black screen forever. Hekate works, other payloads work, but no CFW.

I'm pretty sure I need to reformat in Fat32, but I wanted to confirm before doing that. Also if I do have to go that route, is it enough to copy all the contents of the card to a backup, reformat the card, and then throw the backup back on the card? Or do I have to start fresh and reload all my NSPs?

Should I update to 9.0.1 ? All homebrews and apps are stable now or stay with 8.0.1 ? Not sure. Been used 8.0.1 for a long time through ChoiNX via 3.00

Gaming purposes ie Witcher 3 requires Firmware 9.0.1 unless you search for custom repacked ones. I also heard that some of the games updates need 9.0.1 to play.

I already know that. I just want to know the answer above. You aren't answering my question. I will wait for someone who have more knowledge about homebrews for 9.0.1 first. Thank you thought.

Anybody else?

Technically you asked two questions, well actually you asked the same question in two different ways that necessitates two answers to one question.

So your answers are no and yes, in no particular order.

What site may I ask? Not sure what you are saying.
Github. He already told you. Though I don't know why you're being spoon fed whilst appearing pretty rude to be honest.

Yep he is while people trying to help out. How the heck we suppose to know which homebrew apps @azoreseuropa uses when he generalized his question. Github is the answer/go to site.
