Shenmue III launch trailer teases the long-awaited sequel to the Dreamcast cult classic

The long wait for Shenmue III has almost come to a close, with the game releasing in less than a week's time. Shenmue III continues the story of the previous entry in the franchise, Shenmue II, which released all the way back in 2001, 18 years ago. With the launch imminent, the development team behind the game has uploaded a trailer, showing off bits of story cutscenes and voice-acted dialogue. The almost two-decade wait will be concluded on November 19th, when Shenmue III launches for the PlayStation 4 and Epic Games Store.

To be fair, there is a Saturn at Ryo 's house. So there could be a dreamcast in shenmu 3 !
They should of made reference for the dreamcast like a dreamcast watch he wears or just added dreamcast consoles scattered around the place as collectibles and with it comes gameplay bonuses

I bought a dreamcast just to play shenmue and I wasn't impressed (back then in... 2012 maybe?). However the music and the presentation were amazing, I honestly don't know how they would wrap up the story, but I hope it will not be a disappointment.

I found it amazing that yakuza, Shenmue's spiritual successor is more successful than Shenmue itself (but I am not into this kind of game)

The Yakuza series offers you a lot to do in terms of side missions, has a less complex fighting system, is more over the top, and is much faster paced. Basically has more mainstream appeal by design. The Shenmue series, in my view, is more like a traditional adventure game with bursts of action/QTEs mixed in.
