Hey all,

I've done my searching, but when people here talk about Swiss they mean more in the traditional way of increasing loadtime. I'm looking for the best option if my concern is how many steps it takes and then load time. As in, if running a memory card exploit requires less steps, but in game A it loads slower than game B etc.

Basically, I want to start with which option requires the least amount of steps to access backups from boot to backup list.

Thanks!

Honestly, XenoGc modchip with swiss burned to a mini dvd, then running games through SerialTwo2SD is the best way of going about it.

I decided to go with this. I ordered a XenoGC clone off Amazon and I'll get that installed tonight, hopefully. I also ordered an SD2SP2 off ebay and that should be here on Monday. Excited to see how that even works.

If everything goes well, I'll just need to burn Swiss to a disc. Now to find out which version is the best and the best way to burn a miniDVD.

edit: There's just an ISO folder in the download. I'll burn that using imgburn at its lowest settings and call it a day. Amazing.

Just remember that sometimes you might need to adjust the strength of the gamecubes laser as it's particularly picky about the media games/files are burned onto.

Huh, I'll have to look into this. I'm guessing if you boot swiss off the B memory card with an exploit you still need it though?
Think so, yeah.
Some peripherals need the memory card B port, but if you're running a game or exploit through that port, you can't use it.

Serial Port 2 is basically Memory Card C (not really though) that you can use an adaptor (or solder an sd card port into it), freeing up MC-B.
It's easy to use and latest version of swiss supports it. Which is pretty awesome.

If I'm reading this guide right, doing the laser adjustment is just twisting a knob on the circuit board?

edit: Gonna pick up a multimeter from Walmart and get to crackin on this thing.

That does sound really nice. I dont have any available big micro SD cards but if it has the capability for better performance I'm gonna look into it.

Pretty much the same performance and compatibility as memory card ports.

Yes, just turn the knob VERY slowly.

I'll probably make my own full size SD adapter, gives some dignity to my bricked Wiis by reusing their parts :D

Yo, if i dont want to open up my gamecube and solder on a modchip, do you know which would be the fastest way to boot swiss?
Im considering using the wind waker save exploit

Datels sd media launcher would be the fastest.
