The wifi signal on the switch seems really weak for that, but then again I couldnt stand it with a vita either.
I think it will be fine, once we have Pie with the stability fixes for Wi-Fi. I didn't do much PS4 remote play on Oreo, but I did play all the way through Portal 2 (what a game!) on GeForce Now, and when Wi-Fi was working, the streaming was nice and smooth. The problem was regular disconnections, which is the general Wi-Fi problem in Oreo, and is meant to be fixed in Pie.

My Switch currently has AutoRCM and Atmosphere 0.9.4 on a SD card with 19GB of free space left.
Is it possible to install Android to the 19GB of the SD card without causing any problems for the AutoRCM and Atmosphere side?

Why isn't my my Switch when running LineageOS not switching to docked mode?

i notice that sometimes on third party docks it is a bit tricky depending on the tv. I noticed I a little trick. If you either use a mouse or your fingers kinda double tap at the top of the screen and you should get a black screen then wake the switch up and hopefully you have video. But basically it is needing something that can handle 720p try different hdmi cable if that doesn't work make sure your screen support 720p

Hello. Will there be any way to seamlessly change between android and cfw(atmosphere) in the future without switching sd cards or i don't know what?

i wonder since that android on switch is a thing for awhile, do people still find the app useless or not useless?

(asking because ever since this topic came up people say it's no use or pointless and just to get a android tablet)

Eh its more of a proof of concept / asspain at the moment. Slow SD card access, no analog control, no charging joycons, no deep sleep, docking messing up half the time, dual booting annoying, wifi issues...

android on the switch allows me to properly play sega saturn. Basically making one of my long time dreams come true. It also allows me to play gta san andreas on my switch. The drastic emulator is the best nintendo ds emulation on the switch. Redream is the best sega dreamcast emulation. There are also many things android allows which normally you cannot do. It truly makes the switch a dockable tablet pc in my view. While linux does the same emulation does not work as well. So in my view i prefer android os over it in terms of making your switch pc like. I could in truth go on and on. At the end of the day think of your switch as this swiss army knife and the ability to load android as one of your tools. I laugh when i read people arguing over what is best. I regularly switch between sxos, atmos, android, and linux for various abilities. Android definitely has a place.

I tested the port of Android on Switch : it works but there's still bugs and have to reboot with the dongle (not really friendly).

I prefer to use my phone (mi 9T pro) for emulation or games streaming (PS4 or GeForce now) with a bluetooth controler (=best combo)

Can anyone help? Ive updated hekate on my RCM loader and can no longer get hekate to load to run android. I've not used it for some time, so I'm not sure whats gone wrong. Whether its the RCM loader or something else, but any help would be appreciated.

Can someone test an app/game for me?

If it runs well I'll go through the rigmarole of setting Android up on a SD card.

The games "Shadow Warrior Classic Redux" an old school fps game from the 90's

it installs without issue. Once the game started though I don’t believe joycons work (did not test though) but my pro controller did not work properly. I could move and stuff but i could not shoot. I think a simple button remapper app might fix that. Plugging in a ps3 controller worked flawless though. Game played perfectly.

Announcement quote from switchroot discord
Hey Switchroot followers! There've been a few questions recently about the Nvidia Android TV R beta that was spotted out in the wild. As far as what this means for us, this update is in fact for t210 devices, indicating the presence of new stuff (hopefully fixed hwcomposer and desktop gl hooks) along with much more updated sources. Once we get the source for this update and it trickles down into the CM-Shield repos, we plan to begin work on a new major Switchroot Android update. Instead of R, we plan to target S--the R binaries and sources should be pretty bring-up-able to S, and we think overall that S is way more interesting in terms of new stuff, with a lot of behind-the-scenes ATV stuff and of course the many new features in tab that I'm sure you're all aware of. As far as timeline, we're not sure yet--going by history, we're estimating December-ish for Nvidia's drop, but we don't know anything for sure. If you're gonna want to test the new features, we plan to have autobuilding available with dev builds as we have recently, so stay tuned!

i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
