Hi there,

Maybe I missed something, but is there any way to copy xci files from HDD to the sd card ?

If yes, can this split xci files for fat32 ?

I just find the lib files for usb and was wondering if someone just know and used them in a Homebrew for a HDD copy .

Thanks

Ah !
I never used Sx Installer because I prefer HBG.
I just used it and tried to copy Pokemon Sword (11Go) so it should be splitted.

After Copying successful, I just noticed that in the SD, it appears as a 11Go XCI, which is not possible in fat32)
Via GoldLeaf, it appears that it's 9.89Go
Via NX Shell, 9.89 as well

When I tried to load it, it Works !

Finally I just put the SD on my pc to check the file and it appears that It splitted in "Folder mode"

Can anyone explain me the difference between XC0 (via XCI Cutter) and this "File" (how to do it ? How to join it ?)

Thanks

You do realize that 9.89 is not possible either in FAT32?

As for the difference between XC0 etc and folder, it's just a different way to split the XCI but both can be read by SXOS.

I know the file limit with 4Go, still homebrews don't see the file as a folder. Now I know that what it was is an archive

I searched for information and found that this format is called "bit archive"
I don't find any information on how to split into ?
Is there any tool ? Cmd to generate it ?

Since I have particularly RE6 in XCI that I have splitted with XCI Cutter and cant be read on SD.
It works on HDD but not in splitted format... Strange ?!

If it works in this archive bit format, and if it's easy to regenerate it in one piece, then I will go to this format

Updating my old post :

It's no more a problem with the latest tinfoil.
I can copy a XCI browsng the files, and tinfoil automatically convert it to the switch fat32 sd.

The process is looooooooooong but works.
NS-USBLoader as an option to split xci into folder format, but I don't tried it

Why not try installing the .XCI files directly?

Just because I don't want to install it but loading it ? It's sufficient reason ^^

Loading time : 3 seconds
Installing told : [2;25 minutes for a 32go game]

What if it's a shitty game and you waste your time ?
No thanks, I prefer mounting
