Many many thanks! Will give it a try!
Edit: I tried the file but the translation and the names are all messed up. Haha. =( is there a way to transfer my save file?

You could try checkpoint or other save managers. Though since the games do have different game IDs you may need to change the folder names a bit.

How does that work?
I am pretty new to these save editors etc..
So I don't quite understand the usage of it.
Can I just change the game ID to match the Chinese version then?
Thanks a bunch!

This is what I would try.

Use chekpoint to backup the Jap save file.
Rename the folder to match the game ID of the version you want.
Use checkpoint to inject into that version.

See if it works.

hopefully it works on western release, restarting the game would be quite tiring

I tried that, it can load the save file but the language all changed to Japanese.

you also need to change the game id on the patch folder, and change the JP on the patch file name to TW or KR
No, actually keep the JA (it's actually JA not JP, sorry), don't change it. Apparently importing japanese save will make your asian game japanese. The game id still asia, but the language and even the ingame game logo turned japanese.

This is actually very interesting. If someone is able to change the save's language, this could potentially allow us to play in English using the Japanese version without the need for a patch.

That should have something to do with SystemSave file on the checkpoint backup folder, I deleted that file before importing the save and it change back to it's original language and logo (the save worked fine too). Sadly I don't know how to modify it.

i used this bms script for unpacking the lzs, it resulted in a bunch of .bin that contains the messages, you can check by opening with hex, now i need to see if theres really a way to edit with the sdk and how to repack this lzs.

Does anyone know how to extract the language file (which I assume to be the .lzs within romfs) from the Chinese/Korean version? The JP version has an exclusive cow costume and I've made made a lot of progress, but I'm not a fan of the overflowing English text.
