'Call of Juarez: Gunslinger' announced for the Nintendo Switch

Yet another port is heading to the Nintendo Switch, this time it's the western-themed first person shooter Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. It was originally released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC back in 2013 but the Switch version has been optimized for the console with features like Motion Control and HD rumble. A brand-new trailer has been released by the publisher Techland:

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger lets you track down the Wild West’s most notorious gunslingers -- Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, Jesse James - while blazing a trail through stunning landscapes of the Old West. Live an epic adventure as a ruthless bounty hunter. Personalize your skills and master your weapon of choice to unleash lethal combos and become the best gunslinger the Wild West has ever seen...

“This is our homage to Wild West tales, an epic and violent journey of a ruthless bounty hunter on the trail of the West’s most notorious outlaws. Blurring the lines between man and myth, this adventure made of memorable encounters, unveils the untold truth behind some of the greatest legends of the Old West. Our Call of Juarez: Gunslinger journey really took us places, and we all agree the game is perfect for the Nintendo Switch. It actually feels like the Switch was made for Call of Juarez: Gunslinger“ - said Wojciech Kuśnierz, Producer at Techland.

Price at 19.99 USD Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is coming digitally to Nintendo Switch on December 10, 2019, and will be published by Techland.

Played it over 5 years ago on my PC.
It's a fun game that's more arcade-ish compared to the previous COJ games, but it isn't much of a ground-breaking experience.
It ain't a masterpiece, but it's very good overall.

Another GREAT shooter series that simply botched off local multiplayer, adding up nothing to Switch's list of 0 local multiplayer shooters, but +1 to Switch's list of 100+ shooters that don't have the most basic and important feature of such style of games.

Good job to all of you mindless video game consumers without a social life.

Aren't you a little old to still be playing video games?

Crazy sentence of the year??? Seriously gbatemp should do yearly awards
It's kind of ironic because video game people aren't really the most social ones. But it's honestly the feature that is most important to me, and also to my friends and family. I just keep forgetting people are so easily offended nowadays and my comment might actually get deleted before it can earn this award. I have to say being a puss* never helped me making friends, I wonder if it would if I lived elsewhere.

If it was 5 years old game from PC.. Why now on Switch ? SMH.

I heard that the developers had issues porting it to the Switch when they first released the game 5 years ago due to the fact that the Switch wasn't actually around then...

Literally why.

There are some highly inaccurate, or at least implausible, uses of the word "literally" on this forum but at least most of them are grammatically correct.

To answer the question without the prefix...

For the developers? Money, I would hedge a bet.

For the consumer? Another game to choose from.

is this as trashy, misinformed, and poorly designed as juarez: the cartel? i know that game is absolute bottom-of-the-barrel trash.

Literally why.

Not all Switch owners were adults when this game first came out.
The Switch blatantly sees new gamers arrive all the time.
It's a good game.

As above the Switch pulls in a new gaming audience all the time. It's not a stagnant market of 40 year olds who once had gaming PCs.
A 14 year old with a Switch this Christmas was 9 years old when the game came out. It's a good game.

@BigOnYa I think another reason to want to update is if the hfw is at the level of the fw
  • S @ salazarcosplay:

It keeps players in touch with the game like a check list of things to do after they beat it

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
You should update the 360 to newest dash before RGHing it yes. But not a big deal if you don't, you can install new dash/avatar updates after. It's just easier to do it auto online before, instead manual offline after.

@BigOnYa I wanted to ask you about your experience with seeing south park. Most of the people a bit younger like my younger brother and cousins that are a few younger than me that saw kids found south park funny because of the curse words, kids at school, that seemed like liking the show on a very basic level.

I could not quite have a in depth discussion of the show.

How was it for you? As an adult. What did you find the most interesting part about it. Did you relate to the parents of the kids and their situations. Was it satires, the commentary on society. The references on celebrities' and pop culture.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I remember seeing the very first episode back in the day, and have watched every episode since. I used to set my VCR to record them even, shows how long ago.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just like any comedies really, and cartoons have always been a favorite of mine. Family guy, American Dad, Futurama, Cleveland Show, Simpsons - I like them all.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
South Park is great cause they always touch on relavent issues going on today, and make something funny out of it.

  • S @ salazarcosplay:
@BigOnYa were you always up to date on the current events and issues of the time or were there issues that you first found out thru south park

Most of the time yea I knew, I watch and read the news regularly, but sometimes the Hollywood BS stuff, like concerning actors slip by me. I don't follow most Hollywood BS (example: the Kardasians)
