Thanks for getting back to me. I have tried to update it using newer ones and beta versions. Just noticed Reinx does not load either, have tried two different cards, both seem to work okay.

Move Nintendo folder (which would have your games) to computer and any other important files and reformat an sd card and move them back, put boot.dat on sd card and retry.

Do you have any themes installed?

Are you using exFAT or FAT32?

Need some help guys.

Tried to update to Firmware 8.1.0 using ChoidujourNX, downloaded, updated, and rebooted. As normal.

Now when I reboot, it shows atmosphere logo, then SX OS, then black screen and it won't go any further, not sure what has happened?

I've turned auto boot off and tried to push sx os through Hekate payloads and the logo shows and then it goes black.

Please help?

Further update. I used another sdcard with fresh files, I've managed to load up atmosphere through Hekate. The firmware did update to 8.0. but I cannot load any of my games, it says they are corrupt. I believe I had this problem once before and running sxos played them just fine, just not on atmosphere or reinx. but currently I cannot get sxos to load.

Any advice at all?
You need to update your sig patches.

Have updates signature patches. All game show as corrupt in atmosphere. The only way I think of getting round the corruption is sxos but I cannot boot into it.

ExFat might have corrupted all your installed games it can do that. You should switch to Fat32. As long as you have a spare external hard drive you can install your games from it to your sd card regardless of size or play them on the external itself using SXOS, so there's really no limitations on Fat32. Even on Atmosphere you can install your games through usb. No one should be using exFat tbh.

The external hard drive can use exFat format because it doesn't corrupt your Switch, but on sd card it happens all the time.

Perhaps when you updated with ChoidujourNX (assuming you did) you didn't choose exFat option but just regular? If so you will have to switch to Fat32, but even if that's not the case you should anyway.

If so all your installed games are gone that are installed to your sd card unless you have them pre-install backed up. (i.e. nsp or xci format) I keep mine on an external hard drive and I switch between Atmosphere and SX OS myself, so if anything happens to them I have a backup and can easily reinstall them.

The problem I have is most of my games are xci, I used to used the app on switch to covert to nsp and then install. The xci files were usually quite large to fit on fat 32.

What firmware do you currently have and what's your set up mate?

Update ** SXOS 2.8 Beta worked. It was the only one that worked with 2.8. About 10 of my games have corrupted though. @EmulateLife I will take your advice and switch to Fat32, cannot deal with this stress again. what's the quickest way to install large xci files on to fat32 card, I used to use xci to nsp converter homebrew, with the file cap i won't be able to do this.

SXOS Installer can install any size XCIs or NSPs to sd card from the external hard drive you don't even need to convert them. Just format an external hard drive to exFAT and put your games on it. The exFAT corruption doesn't happen on an external hard drive so exFAT for it is fine.

Thanks mate. Got my hands on sx installer. Going to pick up a hard drive tomorrow and start going to work with the game downloads and installs on fat32

All done. Set up on fat32 and transferred over my files, my external recognised, all games backed up and installed

SylverReZ @ SylverReZ: Also nice. Never really watched Fallout on Prime, but sounds like a good show. +1
