ROM Hack RELEASE Dark Souls Ascension Mod (RPG) - Switch Version

This is a port of the Ascension Mod by vanbuinen for the Switch.

INSTALLATION:

You need a custom firmware for this mod to work (SXOS or Atmosphere).
Place the folder from the archive into the following folder from your SD card:

/atmosphere/titles/
/sxos/titles/

It should end up like this:

/sxos/titles/01004AB00A260000/romfs/dvdbnd0.bdt

You are all set! Just launch the game from the custom firmware.

If you want to disable the mod, hold X while launching the game (SXOS) or rename the files to something else.

Only tested with SXOS but it should work with any CFW with LayeredFS support.

This is NOT my mod, I just ported it.

Big thanks to Meowmaritus for the .msb tool and @horkrux for tweaking it.

It would be nice to have only files that needs to be replaced in dvdbnd0.bdt. I'm using Polish subtitles mod with HQ audio, both are in this file.

Polish translate mod isn't compatible with this mod, I'll upload the dvdbnd1 with the HQ audio.

If you want to load the game without mods on Atmosphere, hold L while booting the game. Just a FYI

Could you share the tool? There isn't many avaliable for modding dark souls on the switch.

I'm going crazy trying to get this working!
I'm on 8.1.0 Atmosphere Emunand. My sysnand is 9.0.
I tried it with just the 4 main mod files as well as with the audio patch.
The 4 mod files are in
/atmosphere/titles/01004AB00A260000/romfs/
I recently installed the No Blur patch for Zelda as well as the Witcher 3 extra menu options mod without issue.
I double checked my Dark Souls Title ID in tinfoil and it is indeed 01004AB00A260000
My Dark souls is updated to the latest 1.03 patch as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thats wierd, seems like you got it right.. As I said, this was only tested with SXOS but that shouldnt be the problem. I'll post an update later today with the character creation menu working. Stay tuned and check if that works for you.
EDIT: Did you actually start the game? Or did you just get to the creation menu?

Lol oh ok I guess it was working the entire time. I kept getting to the class screen, seeing that it was unchanged, and thinking that it wasn't working. Thanks for the reply and the amazing port!
