When playing a PSP game (ISO/CSO/EBOOT.PBP/UMD) on my PSP I have a black screen after pressing the PS, Cross, Square, Triangle, Circle and R buttons and then the PSP's power LED blinks, the screen has display again and afterwards the game freezes. Is it normal or is it because I have CFW installed? I have 6.61 Pro-C Infinity installed.

When playing a game (ISO/UMD) on my PSP 300 it has a black screen after doing the Home + Cross + Square + Triangle + Circle + R buttons, the PSP's light starts to blink, the screen returns to where it was and then the game freezes. What's 6.61 PROMOD-C2p? Is TempAR better than CWCheat? I never used the first but the latter doesn't have cheats for many of my games.

This is somewhat annoying because I sometimes do this button combination unconsciously while playing on the PSP.

Have you tried playing GBA ROMs on PSP's RetroArch's VBA-M (or TempGBA, I don't recall)? I have a black screen (IIRC) when I do that, they haven't released a + 1.7.0 PSP RetroArch version for some time and I even have problems when playing GBA ROMs on PSP's RetroArch's nightly versions (the latest ones have mGBA but it also has problems when playing GBA ROMs).

Also, what's "Xbins" mentioned in RetroArch's site?

I do not ever used CWCheat.
I decided for TempAR and I am happy with it.
It is easy to use and you can add Cheats to your own Database File.It works fine for me.:)

I am playing GBA Games with TempGBA Mod and SNES Games with Snes9xTYLme Mod.Emulator.Some Adventure Games with ScummVM and many of my PlayStation Adventure Games (converted to EBoot).:)

Sorry,I do not know,I never used or played with RetroArch.:(

Can the PS3 read PSP EBOOT.PBP games? I used NPS Browser to download PS1 games to play them on my PS3 next but they come in this format and not in the ISO one.

Can the PSP read EBOOT.PBP games? I used NPS Browsers to download PSX games to play them afterwards on my PS3 but they come in that (EBOOT.PBP) format and not in BIN + CUE.

You only need your PlayStation Game(s) in

.bin/.cue or ISO or IMG Format

and the Convert Tool

PSX2PSP v1.4.2

You can also add Cover Arts/Background Music and such Things.
A recommendation for using this Tool: The Best is to leave the Compression on "0" None or maximal to "2".If you set it too high you will get issues like Audio stuttering for sure.

Thank you.:)

I never found PS1 games in ISO or IMG formats. I don't want to play PS1 games on the PSP, only on the PS3.

I never found PSX games on ISO format, only PS2 and PSP ones (not even PS3 ones since I had to convert to ISO from JB). Do you know if webMAN MOD rrads PS2 EBOOT.PBP gamed?
Sorry, I do not have a PlayStation 3.
I have no experience with this mod.
I did not know about it until today.:)

Maybe you can look into this for more Informations:

Good luck.
Thank you.:)

@Alexander1970, I no longer use webMAN MOD since it always freezes my PS3 but IRISMAN. It seems IRISMAN can't play PSP games in the EBOOT.PBP format but it can play PSP games in the ISO one (it needs a PSP Launcher to play them) so the former have to be converted to the latter. Anyway, I no longer play PSP games on the PS3.

EDIT: It seems the culprit of the problem is the PSP States Menu plugin. It's a shame but I'll stop using it since I often hold the PSP that way.

EDIT 2: I bought an used PS3 since the previous stopped reading BRs, installed webMAN MOD's latest version and it hasn't been freezing my PS3 so maybe it was the previous PS3's HDD's fault. Anyway, I got used to IRISMAN so I uninstalled webMAN MOD.
