does reboot2payload work or does that only give ya rcm
It works.

You need to root the device (afaik) with Magisk then use an app like Quick Reboot ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.awiserk.kundalias.rootboot ) grant it Superuser rights (Magisk popup), then select reboot to bootloader.

With reboot2payload installed, this will bring you back into hekate from Android. :)

This app (edit forgot link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiledirection.easyrecoverybootloaderreboot ) has an interface thats a little cleaner (bootloader = dowload mode). If you install adaway, you can get rid of the google ad. Also deactivate swiping zones in the app, you dont need them. Imho.

edit: You need to reflash the joystick fix as well, after flashing reboot2payload. Just FYI.

Download the latest hekate payload from:
https://github.com/CTCaer/hekate/releases/
Place it on the root of the first partition of your switchroot sdcard.
Rename the hekate payload to payload.bin.

Then go to: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ni...opment/rom-switchroot-lineageos-15-1-t3951389
Scroll down to download, download the reboot2payload update, flash the zip with twrp, and reboot.

After you are back in android, hold the power button till the reboot/shutdown menu appears, and select reboot bootloader. This will take you to hekate.

Better answer. :)

Make sure to mount /system and /vendor in TWRP before flashing.
Magisk (if you use it) and
controller fix have to be reflashed in TWRP as well.

i had no idea reminon and notimp thx for sharing!

not sure but this seems to break the incredibly useful stick mount app i use which lets me load iso via usb it seemed to change my super su version trying to sort it out. ok makes sense needs majisk reinstalled

ok only bummer is i dont have the reboot to payload option is it my use of nova launcher?

You will have to enable developer settings:

Pull down notification drawer, and click the gear to enter settings.
Scroll to the bottom, and click system.
Scroll to the bottom of System, and press About tablet.
In About tablet, scroll down to Build number.
Tap and keep tapping build number until it says "you have enabled developer options!".
Press the back button to return to the system menu.
Press Developer options.
Then press Advanced restart to enable the expanded reboot menu.
Now when you hit restart it will give you the options to reboot System, Recovery "TWRP", or Bootloader "payload.bin".

when i did that i got message "no need you have already enabled developer options" so i guess the flash did not take hmmm

Same. The payload that ini is referring to, is to launch android in general.

Flash the reboot2payload zip again. Make sure both system and vendor are mounted.

omg wow so surprising turn of events

it took a REALLY long time but correction twrp does load! so its gotta be like half working?

im going to try payload again and just wait

ok so i think what happens is i have auto rcm so if i leave my dongle in it goes to sxos i think auto rcm is the problem which is bummer
