Is this compression for storage only? when installed on the switch, Will it decompress and be taking the same size as a normal nsp installed?
it says -2.22 GB as in it shaved 2.2GB off of the file size.
You need tinfoil 5.0 from tinfoil.io btw or sx installer:Is this compression for storage only? when installed on the switch, Will it decompress and be taking the same size as a normal nsp installed?
Yes, but you have to use nut:Thanks for the answer.
Are USB install still possible with this compression format like with OG tinfoil? I don't really connect my switch to the internet.
Thanks for the answer.

And also is there a risk for Nintendo to make this new format unusable in the future or something? Like if someone want to change all of his library backup to this new format.
Thanks for the quick response again. For what I can tell Tinfoil needs a fork of Atmos included in the download. Is there plans for this to be implemented with vainilla atmosphere? Like with just an update of the OG tinfoil or Lithium for it to install NSZ with USB or SD
I used nszip and have a bunch of nspz files. Do they work the same as nsz? Will SXOS be able to install them?
Will there be a way to tell the uncompressed size before installing an nsz in tinfoil/TX installer? Let's say I want to install a nsz file that's only 5GB on my nand with 10GB of space left. How will I know that game will fit after being decompressed onto the nand?
For installing also, because this compressed files are send to Switch and Switch is decompressing them. So you need less time to send it or install it through Wi-Fi/USB.so this is useful only for the pc storage?
because i thought this is for the console storage
will this compression be implemented in future Goldleaf releases for installing these type of new files
