All I know is, I went from a cheap-ass 128GB Samsung EVO class 10, to a 128GB Sandisk Extreme A2, and the speed difference is night and day. I can put games on the card at 78-ish MB/s, instead of 20-ish MB/s. Homebrew and games load up quicker too.
hmm maybe it's faster reading than writing on it?

"Well, here the Switch isn't quite so future-proof. The console only supports UHS-1 cards, which have a maximum possible speed of 104MB/s, compared to the 312MB/s speed limit of the more modern UHS-2 standard." So here we got it. If you want speed, go for speed.

Just got it, its speed on a whole different level. Finally, I can install ALL of my games on 1 card. Thanks for your perspectives guys!

In PC my sandisk gets 20-35MB/s
(Sandisk Ultra C1)
Samsung Evo U3 80-90 MB/s
Write speed

With newest tinfoil the Evo is even faster, now ~39MB/s
maybe the Sandisk will run faster too.

I always used Goldleaf myself. Never tried tinfoil before, I went here https://thehbg.shop/main.html and there's 2 links 1 is hbg the other is tinfoil what is the difference between the two?

I've used both models of SD card on the Switch. For everyday gameplay performance, there's no noticeable difference in speed. The system boots up no faster on either one and games load up in about the same amount of time. The only major difference, as already mentioned, is the U3 write speed on the Samsung. Transferring files from my PC to the card is up to 3x faster than on the Sandisk and I was able to move 128GB of data to the Evo Plus is less than 20 minutes. When it comes to installing from the eShop though, your download speed is likely going to be the limiting factor, so the faster write speed won't provide any benefits.

Given the lower cost though, the Samsung's the better value choice.

Sadly I would recommend the sandisk if you are getting it off of amazon... Ive got 3 samsung 512gb sd cards from amazon while trying different sellers each time and they all have been fake.. Tested all 3 and they ended up being 32gb sd card...

Trying to decide between:

I have 398GB of games, so I need one of those. Trying to decide which 1 would run better on the Switch though. What do you guys think?
What buyer did you purchase from? I seem to just get fake cards
