Yes,no "Security Issues" that I know.:)
I think I've done everything according to what was recommended (select IOS 249, then select "IOS 37 as base"). But then it tried to download something and it doesn't work. I get a whole bunch of "tcp_readIn failed: -104, Error making http request" My internet connection works - it downloads cover art.
I googled somebody on Reddit with similar error - he says it worked the next day.

May i please ask you what type of Internet/Security you have ?
I am a little concerned it has to do with it because of your Issues with ModMii too.:(

I dunno, just internet through Ethernet cable. It's very high speed (2-5mbytes/s). 3DS connects to Nintendo services without issues. Stopping Kaspersky protection or running as an administrator doesn't change anything.

Thank you. But I get the same results: "tcp_readIn failed: -104, Error making http request".

I'll try again tomorrow. Maybe some european servers are offline or something.

I have installed Hermes v5.1R to IOS224 with Base 37 and Monster Hunter G works with it.:)

I wish you good luck on your Internet connection.:)
otherwise you have to search and find the custom cIOSes.:(

Thank you.:)

Hello, again. I've managed to get my hands on cIOS223[37]-v5.1R.wad and cIOS224[57]-v5.1R.wad. I installed them through Multi Mod Manager. Unfortunately nothing changed :hateit:
Are those files the ones I need?

I've noticed that 223 shows Capcom logo and 224 doesn't :)

Hello my friend.:)

That is very sad that this Game is still not working...

If I may ask a few question too please:

- Did you have an Gamecube Controller attached too ?
- Which Type of USB Device did you use please ?A HDD (is recommended) or USB Stick/Flash Drive/Thumb Drive and so on ?
- Is it formatted with FAT32 and the Game was transferred with the WiiBackupManager ?
- Would you be so kind and post a sysCheck from your Wii for us ? Maybe we he have overlooked something...
(If you need assistance on this please feel free to ask.:) )
- Did you have the latest Version of the USBLoader GX v3.0 r1272 and WiiFlow WFL v5.2.0 ?

Please excuse me if I have asked some questions before. I just want to make sure we did not forget to ask.
Thank you.:)

I tried it both with and without GC accessories. I use USB stick 64 gb FAT32 formatted and WiiBackupManager transferred. All latest software used. I might do a sysCheck too, but I have some good news.

I tried unpatched files for Monster Hunter G (Jap) and Monster Hunter Tri (Eng). They both work fine. So I guess it really was the issue with the patched copy.

Am using the latest Version of the USBLoader GX v3.0 r1272, on Seagate 500gb hard drive with single fat32 (32kb clusters) partition. Hard drive spin down (idle) is disabled with Seagate software. Wii game files are hash verified and transferred with Wii backup manager. I can view and select the games in USBLoader GX but when I try launching the game (any game)....I get a black screen....and after long time "an Error has occurred message"....and am forced to reboot the Wii console. This issue occurs when the hard drive is connected to either USB port (tried both). The TV hooked up is a current year model that can display both NTSC and PAL.
Same issue on WiiFlow WFL v5.2.0

I can
- play NES games on SD card with FCE Ultra GX
- play SNES games on SD card with Snes9x GX
- play videos on the hard drive with WiiMC
- browse the hard drive with WiiXplorer ....and open/view some cfg/txt files
- play Gamecube iso games on hard drive with Nintendont (using wiimote...but can start and play the game)

What is causing this issue ? and what can I try next...

Hello.:)

I am sorry to hear of your Troubles with your Games on USBLoader GX and Wiiflow.

A good news is your sysCheck is good.:yaywii:

Please use only Port 0 for your HDD.

728px-Wii-USB-port.jpg

Can you please try another USB Cable or maybe better also an other USB HDD ? Only to get sure the Issue comes not from your HDD.

Next Step you can try:
Please check in the USBLoader GX Global Settings -> LoaderSettings -> the Loader IOS.Try to use IOS58.If it is already try to can change to IOS249.
Please try some Wii Games.:)

What you also can try is,in USBLoader GX on your Game(s) in -> Game Load Settings -> please try change the Game IOS to 249 or 250 instead of Global.
Then please try that Game(s) (please be aware that not all Games run on this IOSes like Monster Hunter or Just Dance Games for Example).

I hope there is something there for you that maybe helps to get rid of your issue.:)

Good Luck.
Thank you.:)

Don't have a spare hard drive or usb hard drive cable to test. Since gamecube games & videos can run from the hard drive on Wii....I think its working fine from port 0.

USBLoader GX Global Settings -> Loader Settings -> Loader IOS -> this was set on IOS 249 (changed it to IOS 58). Same issue still.
USBLoader GX on your Game(s) in -> Game Load Settings -> this was set on Global (changed it to IOS 249/250). Same issue still.

I attach some screenshots of Loader settings & Game Load Settings......maybe something is wrong there....?

Also can anyone list some popular games and the IOS or special settings to run it ? Or is there a list somewhere ?
I will try these games where the IOS is known to rule it out.
Surely this is a settings/configuration issue ....

Hello.:)

Please forgive me,I have overlooked something on your sysCheck:

Can you please change your
IOS249[57] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS250[56] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

to

IOS249[57] (rev 21, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS250[56] (rev 21, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

or also (both are ok)

IOS249[57] (rev 21, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Zugriff, USB 2.0
IOS250[56] (rev 21, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Zugriff, USB 2.0

You can use the d2x cIOS Installer for this. You can get it with ModMii.

Excuse me please, this was my fault.:(

I hope this helps you.
Thank you.:)

thanks for reply,

tried the d2x-v10beta52, I get same issue still. the d2x-v8final rev 21008/d2x-v10beta52 rev 21010 is what I get from modmii itself.
also deleted usbloader gx and install again....but no change. very strange.

Hello,

@wakawaka:

Your report is OK

Can you test another USB support (usb key or external hard drive) and see the result ??

Maybe you have a problem with your external hard drive.

yes I did, using these (all fat32, 32kb clusters, single partition)
seagate 500gb hdd
4gb kingston usb
16gb apacer usb
16gb sandisk usb
8gb corsair usb

all same issue, I can see the games, box covers, hear the game start music and see the game setting page....but then black screen when loading the game .....an "an error has occured .....message"

very strange
