I heard in a youtube vid that the Damon x Machina joycons will need the latest firmware to work, does anyone know? I have them preordered but if I have to update to use them then fuck it Im gonna cancel my preorder.

Is there any other joycon alternatives with a dpad and grips?

Both my analog sticks are screwed so Im gonna have to buy new ones soon...

There are a bunch of grips for the official joycons, but that won't help your analog stick problems. All the other alternatives are using the exact same sticks so they will start drifting eventually as well. Only the DxM cons use big, thick sticks with more than a flimsy flap to keep debris out.

CFW will support 9.0 soon so I'm not sure why that is a big problem.

First review I've seen:

Well to get grips and a dpad I would have to buy ...

1 - a grip
2 - Hori dpad joycon
3 - Right joycon

Which would be over $100

Most grips don't fit the Hori d-pad joy-con either, its slightly wider and the back contour is just different enough. So yeah, these DxM ones are looking pretty good if you want d-pad + grip.

does anyone know for a fact that hori split pad pro has a different analog stick? all i see from that video is that they have an added height, but maybe the base is the same?
also, does it uses the same dpad as hori dpad left joycon? because i dont really like the mushiness of it.
btw i use the satisfye grip and the goplay grip and they fit fine with the hori dpad left joycon.

I heard that the dpad feels like the dpad on the Hori Left joycon.

The analog sticks are bigger overall, like the Pro controller or Xbox style analog sticks.....so i guess they would have to be completely different than the normal ones.

it would be great if you can tell us how the analog sticks and the dpad feel when yours arrive. specifically do the sticks have a stronger resistance than those of joycon when pulled? thanks

i dont want to start a new topic for this so i ask here:
its hacking related,
the split pad has a programable button. could we program it to press the hidden button that i usualy press with the jumper to get my payload booted?

@Dan-the-Rebirth interesting question, though does shorting something make it a button? and the software would have to be able to recognize it... software-wise I doubt that is doable... if you'd like to find a way to get the membrane press of that button into an action of shorting those pins on the joycon perhaps that's possible sound overly complicated though.
