Uh, no. Jesus was a dark-skinned African who rejected Islam as any sane dude would and was not sent by any mythical deity since that would be impossible. There are exactly zero real prophets (or gods) in the history of the universe. I suggest you stick to the Zelda universe
Thanks to everyone for all the replies and discussion. As you have touched on this topic, then let me clarify briefly as possible this point, as many are unaware, those reading can benefit: there is no issue of Jesus
عليه السلام (Gods' salutation and peace upon him) being African or otherwise, am talking here about the mission of prophet Jesus
عليه السلام according to the Quran and Islam, and Christianity (the original as taught by prophet Jesus
عليه السلام). Prophet is a messenger appointed by Allah
(proper, personal name of Almighty God) to deliver his laws (religion) to mankind. Prophets were normal human beings who lived and died, but Allah specially chose these people called prophets/Messengers to deliver his laws and commands through them, to the rest of humans.
Allah also gave the prophets signs and miracles as a proof that they are true prophets sent from God himself, so people can distinguish. (like a seal, kings' ambassador will have an ID, real money/documents have a sign/stamp to distinguish from the false). Allah gave different miracles to different prophets; such as to Prophet Musa
عليه السلام, Allah gave him a stick/staff which could turn into a snake
(read Quran chapter 20), and he parted the sea with Allah's help, Prophet Jesus
عليه السلام could heal the blind with Allah's help and to prophet Muhammad
ﷺ (Allah's blessings, peace and salutation upon him), to him came the Angel Jibraeel
عليه السلام and recited to him the Quran (literal words of Allah), the splitting of the moon with the command and help of Allah etc.
According to the teachings of Islam, and all the prophets of Islam, God does not become human or part of his creation, God is One and he has no partners or sons (its a unforgivable sin to ascribe partners to God and to worship anyone besides him; one can repent by reforming before death from any sins and Allah will forgive). Nothing resembles Allah, he is incomparable. God is outside and above the universe, Allah alone created the entire universe and matter from nothing, and the prophets don't share any of Allah's powers and attributes, like Allah alone is all powerful, all seeing, all hearing, all knowing etc.
Actually, the world didnt start off in darkness, After Allah created this world, Allah sent (appointed) prophets, Adam
عليه السلام was the first man and also the first prophet/messenger to his children, then to every nations as humans multiplied, Allah sent more prophets throughout history to guide humans and deliver his laws, the prophets were the best people amongst the humans and they had the best characters, they were truthful and never told a lie; they acted as models of rightiousness, Some of the prophets are: prophet Nuh(Noah), Ibrahim(Abraham), Ismaeel, Ishaaq, Dawoud (David) , Musa(Moses) and Isa (Jesus in Arabic is called Isa
عليه السلام) and then finally prophet Muhammad (peace upon them all);
The first Prophet and messenger is Adam
عليه السلام and the last and final in the chain of Prophet is Muhammed
ﷺ, There were so many prophets/messengers sent in between, the exact number is known to Allah, 25 Prophets are mentioned by name in the Quran. All these prophets were Muslim and Islam (submission to Allah) is their religion, because they were all sent by Allah. Judaism is a tribe name from Juda or yahuda in Arabic and the followers of prophet Moses/Musa
عليه السلام were called Jews, but Judaism religion was Islam in them days, Christianity is the name given/known to the followers of Christ/Jesus, but the message and religion is Islam in its original. Allah also revealed books of guide to the prophets for the guidance of the people, the recent ones being the: Injeel (Gospel) revealed to prophet Jesus
عليه السلام, the Taurah (Torah) revealed to prophet Musa
عليه السلام and then finally the Holy Quran to the Final Prophet Muhammed
ﷺ. The prophets would live and practice the revealed laws themselves under the command and supervision of Allah, and they would also teach and demonstrate to others how to correctly apply and live by the revealed laws; they acted a guide for the people, and when one prophet passed away(die), the message (revealed guidance of Allah) is available for people to follow and put to practice in their life, like this, one after the other, Allah sent prophets to mankind.
All prophets were sent with the same message, that God is one, and to avoid false gods and their worship, tell people the purpose in life is to worship Allah alone, and obedience to his laws (that is what Islam means: obedience/submission to Allah), teach proper morality, tell us what the sins are (sins are actions that break Allah's laws), to tell us that this life is very short and life is a test to prepare for the true abode of afterlife, to tell that there will be a judgement day and heaven/hellfire; show how to be obedient to his commands and rules in life; Those who follow his laws, Allah is pleased with them and are regarded as the rightious, those who break the laws of Allah, Allah is displeased with them and they are regarded as sinful, and when we die there is an afterlife, there will be a judgement day and then the eternal heaven and hell. Those who lived a life of obedience to Allah following the prophets of their time, Allah is pleased with them, and Allah will grant them paradise, whilst those who didn't follow the commands of Allah and the prophet and revealed guidance of their time, are sinful, and are sent to Hellfire (as sins and disobedince to Allah are higher crimes, then the punishment is also greater)
Islam is not against Christianity (the original) and Judaism because it is a revealed religion from Allah and so the people living at the time of Prophet Moses
عليه السلام , had to follow Allah's laws of the Taurah (Torah) as revealed by Allah to prophet Moses
عليه السلام, those living at the time before Moses
عليه السلام, e.g in the times of prophet Ibrahim
عليه السلام had to follow that revealed law etc. After Prophet Moses
عليه السلام, there came a number of prophets, then came prophet Jesus
عليه السلام. If we were alive in prophet Jesus's time, we had to accept and follow the laws (Gospel) given to him. Jesus
عليه السلام preached the message of Islam; Oneness of God, to worship Allah alone and to tell people to keep the commandments, but only later in time after the departure of prophet Jesus
عليه السلام, many people misguided from his teachings, introducing the trinity, and that "Jesus is God" or "son of god", and he died for peoples' sins etc; these beliefs are against the teachings of Jesus
عليه السلام himself, and all the prophets sent by God before him: which is to believe in One God and to worship him alone; true revealed religions do not contradict each other; Today, the exact revealed scripture, given to Jesus is not available; the distortion of Jesus and his teachings in the Bible shows that.
Jesus is not God, as God never becomes or became a human, and God has no sons and partners, and each individual person is responsible to Allah for his/her own actions; each person will be judged individually for his life on Judgement day; Any sins committed can be forgiven if one repents in this life before ones' death, if one reforms his life Islamically according to the commands of Allah, and stops from the sin he was engaged in, Allah forgives that person, as he is forgiving. Innovation in religious matters is the greatest sin in Islam, despite this people still innovate practices/beliefs in religion; that is how the message of past religion became corrupted or lost, religion comes from Allah alone, and we can only follow religion according to how Allah has demonstrated to us through his revelation and Prophet; In Islam today, in its final form, the revelation is preserved, so the original message and teachings can always be revived.
The later prophets sent by Allah came confirming the past revealed laws, plus a update of newer laws and commands from Allah; the main basic belief system and basic morals of the revealed religions of Allah do not change, they also have similar modes of worship like daily prayers, charity and fasting, but Allah commanded different laws or religious practices depending on the circumstances and need of time or people accordingly. The people who followed the prophet of their time are regarded as Muslim (obedient to Allah) and they achieve salvation (are saved from hellfire and win paradise) in the afterlife.
After prophet Jesus
عليه السلام came the prophet Muhammad
ﷺ (570 CE-632 CE) and he was the final prophet of Allah (as mentioned in the Quran; read Quran 5:3, and Quran 7:158), he was sent as the final prophet because we live in the end times, and that is why prophet Muhammad
ﷺ was given a very comprehensive and comlete law, covering all aspects of life (personal, social, state etc) and thus there is no need for any newer revelation/prophet to come. The Quran which are the final preserved words of Allah and the sayings and examples of prophet Muhammad
ﷺ is the source and foundation of Islam, from which all Islamic laws are derived. (for a good biography of prophet Muhammed
ﷺ, read: The Sealed Nectar, find pdf online). The Quran are Allah's literal words revealed to prophet Muhammad
ﷺ through the Angel Jibraeel (Gabriel); Angel Jibraeel was sent (by Allah) from the skies with the words and commands of Allah (Quran) and he dictated the Quran to prophet Muahammed, and the Prophet memorised it, then later was written down by the prophets companions, the Quran was not revealed all at once like the Taurah and or the Injeel, but was revealed gradually in a span of 23 years.(Angel Jibraeel
عليه السلام, desended at different times with different verses)
Prophet Muhammed
ﷺ was born in Arabia Makkah, he started receiving commands (the Quran) from Allah, at age 40 through the Angel, this continued for 23 years, and he died at age 63. People living in prophet Muhammad's
ﷺ time and all humans who came after him up until today, and all those that come after us, until the last day of the world have to follow this revealed law of the Quran and prophet Muhammads' teachings (called sunnah in Arabic) to achieve salvation in afterlife and in order for good deeds to be accepted by Allah, and we still have to believe all the previous prophets that came before him which are mentioned in the Quran, but have to only follow and practice the current laws of Allah, as they are an update and a confirmation of the past revealed laws of Allah.
Allah sent all the prophets to tell people to believe in the same basic beliefs: the Oneness of God, purpose of life is Islam, belief in afterlife, heaven/hellfire, and similar religious practices such as the prayers, almsgiving, fasting, however Allah sent newer commandments to the later prophets, that's why people have to follow the revealed laws/religion of the time to achieve salvation, just like a king/ruler who passes out newer orders and people follow that, likewise is religion. The wisdom why previous revelations like the Injeel (Gospel) given to Jesus
عليه السلام was not preserved by Allah, is because they were meant and intended for the past people in history, the Quran on the other hand is preserved to the exact letter, as Allah promises in the Quran to preserve it eternally (Quran 15:9) this is because it is the final revelation from Allah for all the human beings living untill the last day. It is necessary for people to follow the prophet and revealed guidance of the time to achieve salvation in afterlife. Islam is very simple to understand and practice, yet it is comprehensive, an update, a correction and a confirmation of the past revealed religion connected in a link to Christianity and Judaism like a connection in a chain, you can liken it to one family of game consoles. Besides that, are not religions, but philosophies of life, cultures or remnants of a revealed religion etc. therefore, all directions you turn should lead one to accepting Islam.
The Afterlife according to Islam and the Quran: when a person dies the soul is sent in an afterlife realm (called barzakh in Arabic) its' a place of either torment or bliss; similiraly like a sleep like state, like a dream/nightmare, the state of the soul will depend, if one was a obedient or disobedient/unbeliever in this life, all dead people stay there, until the day of judgement. A day will come when Allah will put this world to an end, and Allah, with his power, will resurrect all humans in a new world and that will be the beginning of a day that will never end, that will be with both our souls and physical bodies. Allah will judged each person individually for his life, how he passed his days; people will be judged if they lived a life of obedience to Allah or not; if they had followed the propehts of their time or not, and that will then determine one's eternal destiny: the obedient will be granted their permanent residence in Heaven and the disobedient to Hellfire.
In Jannah (paradise) there will be everything of one's wish like delicious food, drinks, companionship, love (sex), people will be happy and no pain or death, there will be things to play/entertainment, just like the things you like here in this life, like playing games, hobbies etc, basically it's a place of enjoyment and eternal bliss, also, Allah will grant the people of paradise to see him; Allah will show himself to the people of paradise. On the other hand, the disobedient will be sent to Hellfire and they are burnt continuously (new bodies are given each time) in extreme pain without end, (I advise people to read the translation of the Quran; the afterlife, heaven and hellfire is very vividly described; i didnt put quotes from the Quran here, as the message is getting too long)
The universe cannot come from nothing, from nothing comes nothing so it came from something that is always there; The creator, who is uncreated and always existing, the first cause, that's the only logical, rational, and natural answer. you mentioned Zelda, does an entire Zelda game and the amazing open worlds and their levels pop out from nowhere? or does it require great intelligent design? if a small open world game like zelda has to be designed, then how come our real open world which is a much greater matter that supports life, animals, living things, day and night system, weather system, and the intricate laws in nature come without a designer from nothing? How come our natural world and the laws of nature continuously run without all falling apart without supervision and control? There is sunrise, sunset consistently, the day and night passes with ease, their is oxygen/air to breath and there is life; and a slight disorder in the natural laws can cause everything to crash and perish. think like this: when you play Zelda and or any other games you like or play, there is an objective set, the game has guides and you follow the map etc, and like all devices/item you buy, there are user manuals, similarly in Life, Allah sent his guide and set the objectives and clarified the purpose for creating us, informed how to live a correct life and by his rules, by sending his revelation and prophets.
Life is not just to play games and have fun, life is a test according to Islam and the Quran; a test to prepare for the afterlife with acts of obedience to Allah, and also Allah tests' people differently with both evil and good; wealth and poverty, wellbeing and illness, youth and old age, circumstances, test with humans' enemy; the shaytan (satan/devil) a test between belief and disbelief, peace and conflict, with lawful and sinful acts, truth and falsehood etc, the whole life in this world for humans according to the Quran is a test. We are in a exam and the afterlife is the place of reward; Allah has put us in this life in a test but he has also shown us the way and how to pass the test of this life through sending us his guide by sending prophets as teachers to teach us his revelation, and so those who follow that, are guided and pass the test of this life and win paradise and are saved from Hellfire in the eternal afterlife. If a student in school doesn't learn thinking there is no exam and wastes' his time messing around, such a student will fail and have no future, if you go work and don't work, you won't get paid and lose the job. Likewise, if we don't realise the purpose in life set by Allah the creator (made known to us through all his prophets) which is to prepare by fulfilling Allah's commands in this life, then there is no hope for the reward of paradise and one has failed/sealed his eternity.
God does not require from us something difficult, rather according to Islam, Allah created everything and this whole world/life and bestowed us the gift of eye sight, intellect, hearing, and given us everything we possess; all the good things in life such as food , water, parents, family and the good things you enjoy/playing /games or doing etc, All this is, so that, we in turn submit to Allahs' commandments and worship him (Allah is not in need of our worship and obedience to him, but its for our own spiritual growth and good, and so to attain the reward of paradise). Worship in Islam means obedience to Allah and showing gratitude and thanks to Allah, it's really easy , when one says and believes in the declaration of Islam, called the shahadah (testimony of faith):
There is non worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
By saying with the tongue and acknowledging the shahadah with the heart, you have become Muslim (in belief, and will ultimately be granted salvation, and your good deeds start to count), the declaration of faith means that God alone has the right to worshipped (like for e.g. prayers, supplication, glorification) exclusively and directly to him alone without any intermediaries, and only in the way as taught, demonstrated and revealed to us through his Final Messenger; prophet Muhammed
ﷺ. And all you really have to do after saying the shahadah is wash/bath your whole body, (learn the purities and impurities in Islam) and just start to learn and perform the 5 daily fixed prayers, which are acts of worship to Allah to give thanks and show gratitude to him for giving us this life and everything we have, then there is fasting one month (in ramadhan) a year, and zakah (charity); these are the basic commandments of Allah (all done in accordance to the revealed prophetc guidance).
Besides that on a daily basis is to eat only halal meat/food, to use water after relieving oneself to clean. To avoid pork, avoiding alcohol/wine, avoiding sex outside marriage (these are sins), and for a woman she is required to cover herself properly, her hair with headscarf and dress modestly (because she is very precious like diamond/gold), Whatever Allah has commanded us, is only for our own good as Allah is the creator and all knowing. If you have a practicing Muslim friend and or local mosque/imam then you can easily learn/practice these basic commandments and the rest will follow, that's all really, all required to achieve salvation, all other good actions that you do naturally as a human (like being good to parents, kindness etc) will be added to your account (Good actions are only counted and accepted by Allah, if one is Muslim).
As this life is the only chance to win paradise and escape hellfire, and death could occur and end this life anytime, then this is something not to take lightly. I would advise that everyone should at least start reading the chapter 19, chapter 20 and chapter 21 of the Quran (Allah talks about the prophets/purpose of this life and the coming afterlife) and other short chapters of the Quran from chapter 50 onwards (Allah talks about judgement day and how to achieve paradise and avoiding hellfire). You should try also to read the Quran from beginning to end; a little portion a day, theres only 114 chapters, (just to mention a thing that: the Quran is the literal words of Allah, our creator, and he is the speaker, it is a direct speech of God almighty. When you read the Quran, you will realise that Allah mostly uses direct speech and uses "We" to refer to himself; this does not mean that God has partners, Allah is absolutely One, but it is a royal we, and a style to address, out of glorification and self respect, Allah sometimes uses "I" also to refer to himself, and "He" to refer to himself in the past tense)
That said, if you have thought, if God was to speak to us, and inform us about: why he created us? the purpose of life, why we are here? where we are going? about the past prophets, their mission, the afterlife, descriptions of Judgement day, paradise and Hellfire, Why Allah doesnt show himself to us currently, why he created and allows evil and suffering, How to attain peace and happiness, to avoid the sins and pifalls of life and society, the way to repent, forgiveness from sins, how to relate to Allah, the best way to live, how to win paradise and save oneself from hellfire etc, then the Quran is that book, it is a letter from God to you. (you can read Quran in this link:
https://quran.com/?local=en or find a pdf copy online) you may ask/PM me for any help/advice etc, I could in the future make/put a similar topic in a blog or thread in the general discussion, general off topic chat, to explain/discuss this further. Thanks for reading.
