  1. No, title keys are used to decrypt digitally downloaded content such as games, updates, or DLC. Prod.keys is one of the many terms used to describe a file that contains all of the non-console specific keys that are shared between all Nintendo Switch devices. PRODINFO is the most unique part of your console and is already part of any complete NAND dump (eMMC raw GPP) or eMMC SYS
  2. The "sweet patches" are needed if you are using Fusee as your custom bootloader to run Atmosphere. The guide I linked you makes you use Hekate instead. If you want to continue using Hekate to run Atmosphere, then you will need Joonie's patches. If you want to use the "sweet patches", then you will need to switch to Fusee after downloading it from the Atmosphere Github page. Remember that there is no right or wrong answer; just note that different bootloaders require different patches

Awesome thank you, i will check that out soon!

Just to be clear, with the Complete nand dump i did not get a seperate file called prodinfo(.bin?). Just many RAWnand bin files and boot0/1, thats still correct then?

Your console is made up of 4 partitions: BOOT0, BOOT1, eMMC, and RPMB (unused). BOOT0 and BOOT1 are easy enough to obtain as they are small 4 MiB files. Your eMMC is your actual console and is subdivided into 2 more partitions: eMMC SYS and eMMC USER. eMMC SYS is the Windows 32 of your console carrying vital information for running your Switch including PRODINFO. eMMC USER is part of the reason the dump is so large and it is mostly empty space for you to install content to (internal memory) but it does not contain anything that your console requires to operate.

I know that there are issues with SX OS 2.9 beta right now, but to prepare for an update: Is there a tutorial for how to update to 9.0 properly?

I'm currently on 8.1 on both my sysNAND and emuNAND with SX OS as my CFW. I assume that I only want to update my emuNAND to 9.0, leaving my sysNAND untouched. AFTER the latest SX OS is stabilized, what's the best way for updating everything? Thanks.

Put the tinfoil .nro file in the switch folder on your micro sd card. Then create a folder called nsps on your micro sd card and put your games in it. I would recommend you to use Goldleaf. Tinfoil is outdated.
but tinfoil is not just an NRO file. On github, it has a whole bunch of files. If it is of any importance, I am still on 6.2.0

was never able to get Tinfoil running kept getting env/corrupt somehow I feel either I'm missing a file or I needed to edit the ini file

I have issues with Goldleaf and USB installs running win10-64bit it just hangs and if you try and run it with quark.jar it does the same + (also hitting the home button will crash your hdd )

Hello guys I'm new at the switch hacking scene and I have a question:

I'd like to know if I hack my switch will I be able to play online games through sysNAND or emuNAND for exemple. Like a dual boot between my "hacked" switch and the "non-hacked".

Note: My switch is unpatched and it is running 9.0.0

Make an emunand with Hekate prior to booting with CFW on emunand, then you can use Sysnand for online stuff and emunand for backup/homebrew etc.

You asked this question when there was no CFW support for firmware 9.0. Now there is support for firmware 9.0 so it is possible to update to that firmware without burning fuses.
Yeah but let's say, 9.1.0 just came out, and I manage to update sysMMC without burning any fuses.
If I boot into sysMMC from hekate, will it burn fuses anyway?

I just had a quick question. Now, I use SXOS for emunand but would you all recommend I switch to atmospheré? I know it has emummc now and I hear a lot of people label it as better. Also, If i were to switch would I have to reinstall all my NSPs or is there a easier way to transition? Thanks in advance

I tried installing the Goldleaf.nro on my switch folder after installing Reinx on 6.2.0.

Error Code: 2144-0001 An error occurred.

I got this message after opening up NS-USBLoader v0.6 to install NSP directly to my Switch from my PC (Windows 10) by clicking on USB installation on goldleaf.

Any ideas?

Use the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX

Can I mod my XAJ40083977851 Switch? It is just before the Mariko revision.
Check the serial number here

Hekate does not burn fuses. Only the stock bootloader can burn fuses. Hekate would also need to support that new firmware that just came out in order for you to bypass the fuse check.

I would only recommend switching if you prefer the faster updates and extra features that Atmosphere offers over SX OS such as overclocking support. If you were to switch, you wouldn't have to reinstall any of your .NSP files unless they were installed with SX Installer in which case you would have to reinstall them.

Goldleaf is buggy. I recommend using Tinfoil instead.

Do i need exfat to install larger than 4gb files via usb (goldleaf + Quark) or does it also install with fat32?

It will install with FAT32, no problem.

In my experience I've found Goldleaf + Quark (~14mb/s) to be slower than Nut + Tinfoil (~24 mb/s). Not sure if its just my system with this issue.

Awesome! ty for the quick reply :D

Ive read somewhere than tinfoil isnt offiicially supported for atmo/kosmos so i refrain from using that for now, might go TF whenever reinx gets updated or i decide to fork cash to TX :)

There is a modded version of tinfoil that work on Kosmos/Atmosphere, blawar who is the developer for current version of Tinfoil doesn't get along with Kosmos/Atmosphere developers, and blawar pretty much work for SX OS, some of SX OS programs look like his.
